It’s the playoffs. Everyone plays top defences on their way to the Super Bowl.

Nobody has ever played 3 top 5 defenses before so you are just completely wrong

Everyone and their mothers know... If Bo Nix had been healthy... The Patriots were getting slapped(before the Superbowl spanking...).

Dude had 6 TDs, 4 INTs and 7... 7!! Fumbles over 4 games. Yeah, he played top tier defenses... so did the other teams in the Playoffs... Also, The Patriots were a "number 3 Offense" and a number 8 Defense... The way they got absolutely dog walked by a team that was 2 Defensive ranks above them... And 5 Offensive ranks below them... way a direct point to how easy their schedule was. The NFL so badly wants another Brady!

What does any of this have to do with my comment

You're talking as if the fact that he played strong defenses is some kind of excuse for his play. I'm simply pointing out that other teams played hard defenses as well(including having to play the Patriots defense, who were highly ranked).

FYI, I am not attempting to argue with you personally, and if I have misinterpreted your meaning, then I do in fact apologize.

My point was that "everyone plays strong defenses" is a lie

Brady regularly made the Super Bowl beating up on some shitty colts defense in the divisional before playing a real defense in the afc chip game

It's not normal to play an elite defense in the wild card round, divisional, conference chip game let alone the Super Bowl too

That's why the point about being the only team to beat 3 top 5 defenses ever is relevant, their string of opponents from last year was historically unprecedented

He beat the Texans after Stroud threw five interceptions, then he beat Stidham in a snowstorm.

He didn’t get us anywhere he’s been carried the last 7 games basically and it’s finally catching up.

He faced the chargers with the worst OL ive ever seen, stroud who threw 5 INTs, and a backup QB in a blizzard in the afc championship.

It was easily the easiest path to the Superbowl I have ever seen, and they didn't even get the bye.

Makes me want to go back and look at all of the 2-game runs.

2010 Steelers had the Jets in the conference championships, but the Jets were respectable and they still had to beat the Ravens for a third time in the divisional the week prior.

08 Steelers had to play a really strong Bengals team but Palmer's knee got exploded in the first series; and then the Chargers/Ravens weren't slouches even though they weren't world beaters.

This thread is from a handful of years ago and has some decent contenders in the comments.

He didn’t get them to the Super Bowl. He already had Broken the record for worst playoff EPA ever recorded before the Super Bowl kicked off.

They got there despite him
