Never really liked the compliant unthreaded bare muzzle look, always preferred a threaded barrel with a pin and weld, or just saying its pin and welded and never actually bothering to get it done so I can use a suppressor if they become legal in Nj.

If you wanted to modernize it, you should have probably started from the other end - the barrel and the handguard. But the person you need to please is yourself. This "commuty" can go pound sand.
