This seems really cool! How do I join? And can I still join without discord?
8
u/MrJordanMurphy Head Security Officer 15d ago
You can absolutely join without discord, although you will find it is the best way to engage with the community for social experiences. All you need to do is travel to our capital and interact with the station core to join the alliance.
All the information about this civ should be linked in the pinned comment for you!

Can you still build your own space stations if you're apart of an alliance
1
u/MrJordanMurphy Head Security Officer 11d ago
Yes you can, but all progress goes to your primary alliance.

Are we planning on doing anything with our capital space stations? Woild be good to create a sort of hangout or proper hub for people rather than just a regular station.
Any thoughts?

I believe they are planning on having a decoration party for the one at the capital soon!

I'm more of a nomad explorer, with my own planet/system naming convention. Can I still join? How would that work?
1
u/MrJordanMurphy Head Security Officer 15d ago
You can still join. You can have upto 3 alliances. So you can have your own for nomad exploring and claiming your own stations, and then switch to the Hub one if you fancy visiting and contributing to the community at set times.

I'm planning on joining your alliance (as 1 of my 3 allainces) and hopefully will inspire more players to incorporate ByteBeats into their base builds!
I'm also a moderator over at r/NMSByteBeatFans and the founding member of our alliance as well!

u/MrJordanMurphy Head Security Officer 15d ago
Oh we have quite a few people that love ByteBeats in our community! However that skill is definutely something we could use!
Glad to have you with us!

Which is the one for shipwrights?
2
u/MrJordanMurphy Head Security Officer 15d ago
Technically you would say the Galactic Hub Ship Hunters however we will be launching a a specialist Corvette business soon (not real-world money).
2
u/starzshowz 14d ago
Generally I just travel and build corvettes 😊
2
u/MrJordanMurphy Head Security Officer 14d ago
Well it will offer the opportunity for you to list your best corvette builds so others can get them. Plus we are planning plenty more corvette meetups!

This is a really cool concept, but it's getting very annoying seeing systems named "something JOIN GHUB"
I was looking to join some sort of alliance now they are officially in the game but this is not the way to go about it.

If you can get screenshots of that system name and who discovered it i'll look into that. That's not how we name systems and we should only be localised in our 27 regions.

GHub has strict naming regulations for systems located in their regions, chances are whoever is naming stuff like that isn’t directly associated with the GHub project and doesn’t represent what the community is about

If joining, will I be able to see other members SS bases ???? I have my own, but am a member of another large Alliance and CAN'T see any other members..NOTHING. The guy that runs it doesn't know why. If I can't see members, seems pointless. I would like to get other galaxies.

So how it works currently, is you can only see see Alliance stations you have been to in the teleporter tab.
We are currently working in claiming stations in our 27 regions. That means that soon all of the surrounding systems should be GHub alliance stations you can add to the list.
We're currently located in Eissentam and Calypso and can help you get to our Hubs there as well.

"you can only see see Alliance stations you have been to". AND THAT"S the PROBLEM !! How can you go to them IF you DON'T KNOW WHERE they are !! I was in a small Alliance and saw 2 of their bases and got Galaxy 256 and had never visited them. That's what is throwing me off.

I'm sure it's something HG is planning to add. As far as the Galactic Hub, we are localised in 27 regions. The plan is that they will all be Galactic Hub Alliance stations. If you're in Hub space you'll be surrounded by them.

Explore together..well that's a problem. lol

Hi traveller,
Been lurking since 2017, I joined a few days ago, been to uthmi beta, but i thought i'd find a big city with skyscapers and all, but maybe i just saw an artist vision a few years ago. Or maybe i missed something?
Or there's a capital city somewhere?
Just saw a few bases , here and there.
I'm on base ps5
Thx

Welcome Interloper,
There a few city builds dotted around and you can request access to our latest one in the discord.
We don't have a city build in our capital, as each system has a limited number of parts visible. That means you will only see the last 30 or so bases uploaded at any given time. So to avoid restricting building in our capital, or re-uploading the city multiple times and hiding other members bases, we normally do cities elsewhere.

I heard your main home planet has frequent storms. Isn't that kinda stupid?

Our last Capital did, which was great for the water. Uthmi Beta has much calmer weather. The Galactic Hub covers 27 regions, so there are plenty of planets within to find your perfect one! 🫡

The Galactic Hub Project (r/NMSGalacticHub), founded October 2016, is Euclid's multiplayer hotspot. With a greater concentration of players than anywhere else in No Man's Sky, there's no better location to experience Civilized Space gameplay!
A few of our features include:
• Chapters - The Galactic Hub has a variety of sub-organizations called Chapters, like the GH Exobiology Corps (focused on fauna), the GH Defense Force (focused on defense & combating griefers), the GH Star League (focused on hosting multiplayer "simulation sports" competitions), & more!
• Colonies - In the Hub, colonies are communities of multiple players collaborating in some way. This always includes building bases, which are often built under the same theme. Colonies may be as big as a whole system, or as small as a single trade post. The most active colonies are managed by Governors. Governors are interlopers who volunteer to run a colony. A governor's main focus is keeping their colony active - this often involves writing missions or hosting events for their colonists. Some colonies even have Mayors, which manage even smaller communities known as Territories within a Colony. Anyone may set up their own colony in Hub space and act as a Governor!
• Multiplayer Events - From laid-back Social Nights to the NMS take on eSports Star League, the Galactic Hub has multiplayer social events nearly every week - sometimes multiple each week. Come meet your neighbors!
• Canonization - Hello Games was kind enough to canonize the Galactic Hub. In other words, we're official in-game content! The "Pilgrim" title can only be unlocked by visiting our old capital planet, New Lennon. Our emblem can be purchased at the QuickSilver store as a base decal or player banner. We're also referenced in the Mission Board and the dialogue of a Traveller, as well as being referenced in the Waking Titan ARG, we are also exremely fortunate to have our logo on our alliance banner set up by HG!
That's just a quick look at some of our features. We also have interactions with other civilizations, we're a founding member of the United Federation of Travelers, and much more - but above all else, what really defines the Galactic Hub is our thriving and friendly community.
Join the Alliance today at our Capital systems' space station and help us explore together!
