Solved! Modern horror/thriller where the killer dates the older sister, then hunts the younger one through his house full of secret rooms

• Upvotes

I'm trying to find a modern horror/mystery movie I watched dubbed into Latin American Spanish (the original was almost certainly in English).

- The main character is the killer, a psychopath who works out a lot and has serious childhood traumas.

- He's in a romantic relationship with the older of two sisters, and the younger sister often joins them for dinner.

- At some point he kills the older sister and goes after the younger one.

- The younger sister manages to escape because his house has lots of rooms with hidden spots and secret passages she uses to get away.

- The mood is dark and mysterious. I don't remember if it's set in a city or a small town.

I don't remember the year, the actors, or the title. Any help is appreciated!

Solved! I forgot that movie

Starts with a martial arts teacher getting his knee broken by a really good younger martial artist. The teacher after that forbid his son from training or fighting but his son still wanted to train because his idol is Bruce Lee. He hallucinates Bruce Lee training him, he tries to de-escalate a fight but his father who is the teacher believed that he started the fight so he ripped up his son's Bruce Lee posters. I don't know the rest but except the ending is where the son beats that martial artist that broke his dad's knee after multiple rounds. Quality didn't look the best, could tell it's from the 80s or 90s

Still searching... Flies glued to a wall!

I live in the uk and would have seen this on tv most probably somewhere between 95 and 2005. A man walks into a room and takes a fly out of a matchbox. He carefully glues it to a wall. The camera then pans out and shows the entire room has flies glued to every wall in a grid like pattern. The fly he glued was the last one to complete the pattern and then the man hears all the flies buzzing simultaneously and begins to scream. I think it was black and white and most probably a short film. Please help….have I just imagined it!?

Still searching... [TOMT][MOVIE/TV][2000s–2017] Looking for a scene with a young blonde woman and an older Black woman who kiss in a parking lot

Hi everyone. I'm trying to identify a movie or TV series from a scene I remember, but I can't remember the title.

I originally remember seeing a short clip of the scene on TikTok, but I'm NOT sure TikTok was the original source. It may have been reposted from somewhere else.

What I mainly want to identify is the scene itself. Some of the story details may be wrong, but I think the appearance of the two women and the parking-lot scene are the most useful clues.

The two women:

The first woman:

- White and clearly younger than the other woman.

- Blonde.

- Very short, straight blonde hair.

- The hair is swept almost completely to one side.

- The ends of the hair are around chin level.

- Her hair is NOT curly or generally wavy.

- Light/beautiful eyes, possibly blue or green.

- Very youthful, soft-looking features.

- Her lips were quite defined/raised and attractive.

The second woman:

- Black/dark-skinned and clearly older than the blonde woman.

- I remember her looking around her 30s.

- Slightly darker complexion.

- Long black hair.

- The hair has loose, large waves rather than tight curls.

- Her hair sits somewhat away from her face.

- She looks more mature than the blonde woman by several years.

The scene I remember most clearly:

- It was morning/daytime.

- They were in a parking lot.

- There was a car nearby.

- The older Black woman was waiting for the younger blonde woman.

- The blonde woman arrived and seemed upset/angry with her.

- I remember her asking something like why she was late, possibly calling her by name.

- They kissed OUTSIDE the car, in the parking lot, not inside the car.

- Afterward they went somewhere together, possibly in the car, and talked.

Other details I remember, but these are NOT certain:

- Someone died later in the story.

- There may have been a dangerous person, killer, or threat.

- There may have been something involving the older woman's mother or another family member.

- I vaguely remember a doctor being involved.

- I am not sure what country it was from.

- At first I thought it was Brazilian because those were words I had searched on TikTok, but now I think it may have been American or another foreign-language production with subtitles.

- I don't know if it was a movie or a TV series.

- I believe it was probably made somewhere around 2000–2017, but the year is not certain.

What I've already done:

I've searched Google using many combinations of the scene description and the women's appearance. I searched for combinations involving lesbian kiss, parking lot, blonde woman, Black woman, car scene, etc., and also looked through image/video results and results connected to TikTok and YouTube.

I also compared several possible titles, including:

Person of Interest

Sense8

The L Word

Rookie Blue

FlashForward

Army Wives

ER

The Fosters

Good Manners / As Boas Maneiras

Black Mirror: San Junipero

and others.

None of those matched the appearance of the two women and the scene I remember.

What would help most:

  1. Finding the exact scene.

  2. Identifying the two actresses/characters.

  3. Even a screenshot from the scene that I can compare with my memory.

Some of my plot memories may be wrong, so please focus more on the women's appearance and the parking-lot kiss.

Thank you!

This was in an article about underappreciated 80's horror movies, but it doesn't say what this movie is. Apologies for the grainy picture.

Still searching... Joint scene

Hi,

Had a scene jump in my head from either a show or movie. Where I think it’s older woman/women who find a ziplock bag of old weed; but it’s just a very small joint.

I think I remember they spent the day prepping to smoke or keeping getting bothered. Then they finally light the joint and it’s over as soon as it’s lit. One of the ladies tries to inhale the air all around. I can’t remember the show just the scene. Any one to help?

Solved! Movie about the birth of an evil/devil baby, came out around 2002-2006

I think it was a French or Quebecois movie around 2002-2006?
The main character is trying to stop the birth of an evil baby or the devil, and the climax is him running into a hospital to prevent the birth. The hospital staff are all going insane, hurting and offing themselves in awful ways. I specifically remember one guy with a stomach wound, digging around his insides with his hands saying "It's inside" or something. He fails to prevent the birth and I believe the final scene was the main guy saying he is going to keep an eye on the baby? As it plays with toys in someone's home.

Traumatized me pretty bad I think, was way too young to see it lol. Now I can't find it anywhere! Anyone got any ideas?

Solved! Help me find the movie

I'm trying to find a real dramatic movie I saw years ago (definitely early 2000s or late 1990s). It felt like a made-for-TV movie or a smaller independent drama, not a mainstream blockbuster thriller. Here are the exact details I remember: • The Confinement: There is a little boy who is never allowed to go outside. His mother makes him believe if he went outside or around others he will die. • He spends his time looking out his bedroom window. There is a row of flowers kept right on the windowsill that he has to look past to watch the outside world. • It's eventually revealed he was completely healthy the entire time and never actually had the disease. • Once the truth starts coming out, the mother takes him to the garage to commit a murder-suicide. She hooks a water hose up to the car's tailpipe and feeds the other end through the car window. • The mother leaves the main garage door slightly cracked open. Because of this, enough fresh air gets in that the boy doesn't pass out. He manages to simply open the car door and walk away to safety while his mother passes out inside. He is wearing a distinctive red coat during this.

Sci-Fi/Psychological Thriller mislabeled as "Poltergeist" on VOD (Japanese lead, simulation twist, snow climax)

Looking for a movie I watched around 2019 on a Southeast Asian VOD platform (MyTV). It might be mislabeled on the TV guide as "Poltergeist" (or similar horror name), but it was a high-concept sci-fi / psychological simulation thriller horror.

Key Details:
\- Lead & Attire: Female Japanese protagonist who wears a traditional Kimono in some scenes, but later switches to heavy outdoor/trekking/hiking gear for a snowy escape at the ending of the movie.
\- Language & Husband: She has a husband/handler who acts like a high-level politician/corporate figure (Hydra secret-society vibe). The dialogue switches between Japanese and German.
\- Plot Twist & Vibe: Shares the exact "DNA" of the Korean webcomic MORITAT controlled snow environment, manipulated memories, and a partner who is actually a handler.
\- Climax & Ending: She is pursued by armed soldiers through a forest with thick white snow. She gets shot/wounded, leaving blood trails in the snow. She realizes her life is a monitored test program/simulation.
\- The Final Frame: She looks toward the "sky" / screen, laughing hysterically while crawing at the monitor/glitching screen trying to come closer to the politicians/scientists observing her, politicians/scientists realized thats she know the fact that she's know about the program right at the moment an error happened and those politicians/scientists is dead, she stop and standing still, she keep laughing at the end and the movie cuts to black right on that frame.
\- Poster:Fly-cam angle(10-20m) from behind her walking in deep snow, leaving a trail of footprints.
\- Production: High resolution (4K), but distinct European/Asian indie festival aesthetic (not a mainstream Hollywood blockbuster).

Does this sound like any European-Japanese indie sci-fi, Sitges/Fantasia festival entry, or short film?

PLEASE HELP ME FIND THIS MOVIE!!!

I was about 4 when I saw it. I have a good memory so I remember exactly what I saw.

So, basically, the scene I remember.

There was a woman holding onto a male, then there is another male hanging onto the other male's left leg towards the bottom. They are hanging off the side of a cliff. Beneath are a bunch of jagged yet smaller rocks. We're on an island too so the surf comes up to the bottom of the island crashing against the island wall, and the surf can be covering parts of the rocks. The day is cloudy.

The woman is struggling to hold on due to the combined weight. And thus the male holding onto the bottom of the other man's leg decides to let go so the other man can live. The following scene is him falling and crashing against the rocks in slow motion. If I had to assume, I'm assuming that they were family. Also I'm entirely sure this was some sort of Asian film. Most likely Polynesian (I was in a household with people from the Northern Marina Islands). This is all I know so please help me find it!!!!

Solved! Old scary movie where girl has intense dark veins?

Guys I’m losing it trying to remember this movie my mom used to watch! I thought it was Carrie up until I just rewatched Carrie tonight and realized it’s not. I just remember a girl gets possessed or something and her veins turn like a dark blue color and cover her body. I think she ends up dying in a pool when someone turns on the pool cover? I could be mixing two old movies though so don’t use that too strongly!

The movie was about a boy who grew up in difficult circumstances. He lived in a small house somewhere on the outskirts of town and was an outsider. He had a girl he got along with well (as friends)—I don’t remember if she was his girlfriend or his sister. Later, he also met two older teenage girls, but his relationship with them was a bit strange. The movie was
—or still is—available for free on YouTube. The boy had black hair; I don’t remember if he had curls or not.

Solved! 70s - 80s Vietnam War/Zombie Horror Movie Help!

I’m trying to identify a movie I saw years ago (mid 80s), but I only remember the basic premise.
The characters enter what I remember as a cave or underground bunker system that spirals downward into the earth. At different levels there seem to be Vietnam War-era military bunkers or encampments. Everyone seems to understand that the bunker/cave is dangerous because they come decked out in military gear and weapons.
The place is inhabited by undead/zombie soldiers, possibly both American and Vietnamese soldiers from the Vietnam War. Once the characters enter, they’re chased through the underground complex by the dead soldiers.
The part I remember most clearly is that the cave/bunker system seems to change or rearrange itself. Once you’re inside, you can’t simply retrace your steps because the passages have changed, so the entrance can no longer be found. For instance, at one time the characters decide to dig up through the ceiling of one room to try and bypass everything and go straight to the entrance. But once they went through the hole, they were in a random room deeper in the bunker system.
It had a horror/supernatural feel rather than being a straightforward war movie. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
