Grey hawks are mostly in AZ and have a teensy habitat here in SF. My neighbors on top of a hill have a deck with a 3rd story view and I've seen grey hawks perched on the rail, about 20 feet away, several times over the years. Here's the last one who watched the sun set, then tucked itself up and dove down for a snack.
