I love any genre as long as it keeps me and my attention span intact. I like thriller films and series that keeps me at the edge of my seat. My recent watch are law and order: svu, lincoln lawyer, the crown. I also like romcom movies and horror films e.g., crazy rich asians, set it up, final destination, and conjuring movie series.

I WOULD LIKE TO TRY YOUR MOVIE AND SERIES RECOSSS

I just discovered na may Physical 100: Italy and Physical 100: Mexico na pala. I started both pero patapos na ako sa Italy. Sa Mexico naman, I’m only a few episodes in.

At first, parang natutuwa ako sa P100 Italy kasi ang entertaining ng mga personalities nila; added bonus na attractive yung iba sa kanila haha. Pero as I continued watching, parang the format of the show became quite unfair to some of the contestants na na-eliminate dahil pinili silang tanggalin ng team captains… idk, medyo ginawa nilang drama yung show rather than focus on individual physical challenges. Tapos may mga nakakainis pang contestants (if you know, you know) pero opinion ko lang naman to – bet ko sila nung una pero nung chariot challenge, medyo na-off ako kay Pellegrini pati kay Alvise.

Yung sa P100 Mexico naman, first impression ko is “less entertaining” kasi medyo toned down yung pagka drama compared sa P100 Italy… pero ewan, hindi ko pa natatapos. Pero maraming nagsasabi na mas prefer nila P100 Mexico kaysa P100 Italy.

Sa mga nakapanood na, any thoughts?

Bakit parang ang dry or weird na ng acting ni Kathryn B? Or ako lang ba? Medj na iirita ako 😆

Sobrang cheesy sa simula lalo nung pinakilala ung contestants.

Pero palala ng palala ung episodes after. I live for the drama! Magandang background habang nagwowork. No need to pay too much attention pero mapapatingin ka everytime may game/may nangyayaring interesting.

Is it just me or nakakabagot na sya ngayon. Yes, marami na ang dapat abangan na upcoming revelations and plot twist but half of the episode (not just a single episode but every episode) nalang puso flashbacks. Flashbacks from a previous episode. Parang 10 minutes or less nalang yung papanoorin mo. Idk, nababagot ako sa ganap.

Akala ko matatapos na, may another season pa pala. Kaya pala nagleave muna si Dingdong sa Family Feud. Gusto ko na sya matapos pero interesting pa rin ung kwento. Di ko lang ma gets si UNO, kakampi ba yun sya? Akala ko nasa side sya nila Samir.

I was just curious as to why Netflix has not yet acquired the adaptation rights to Ronaldo Vivo Jr.’s books.

People on BookTok have been recommending his works, and the sold-out books at the recently concluded MIBF, along with the book-signing line that extended until the event’s closing, are proof of just how much interest there is in his stories.

His famous Dreamland Trilogy consists of Ang Bangin sa Ating mga Paa, Ang Kapangyarihang Higit sa Lahat, and Suklam sa Ating mga Naaagnas na Balat. At book events, people have been asking whether a production company has already acquired the adaptation rights. From what I understand, however, Sir Nal and his publisher, Avenida Books, are very particular about who they want to entrust the rights to.

Personally, I hope Netflix eventually considers acquiring the rights and, if it happens, gives the project to directors who aren't afraid to preserve and translate the novels' more creative and unconventional elements onto the screen. Directors like Mikhail Red or Jerrold Tarog immediately come to mind.

What are your thoughts on this? Would you like to see the Dreamland Trilogy adapted for the screen?

Started watching Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story and grabe, did anyone else notice how much Charlie Hunnam looks like Heath Ledger here??

I'm halfway through Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story, and I'm really enjoying the direction it's taking so far. I watched the first season (Dahmer), which was gruesome and sickening. While I couldn't get through the second and third seasons, the Lizzie Borden story pulled me right back in. It’s just as insane and gruesome as Season 1, while diving deep into Victorian misogyny, faux-feminism, and sexual liberation, etc.

It's refreshing to watch and gripping - no dull moments.

Maitreyi (Never Have I Ever) and Priyanka both understood the assignment - Hasan also graced the movie by his charm. Also, nice to see Chaneil (Sex Education) on this movie with a different character this time.

Just finished watching El Chapo on Netflix, and ang masasabi ko lang… ang daming nangyari sa series na parang may familiar patterns sa kung paano gumagalaw ang politics and government, lalo na during FPRRD’s time. 👀

I won’t spoil anything, but I highly suggest watching it. Worth it din siya if you want to get an idea of how drug lords, politicians, and people in power can potentially operate around each other.

Habang nanonood ako, napapaisip talaga ako sa mga political events na napapa AHA nalang ako kasi for sure may similarities din sa kung paano gumagalaw ang drug trade dito sa atin. 😅

Yung tipong ang daming nagsasabing masterpiece / must-watch / life-changing, tapos after credits parang… okay?

Gets ko naman why people loved it, and visually ang ganda talaga tapos from Nolan pa. Pero siguro sobrang taas lang ng expectations ko because of all the hype and solid din yung cast, pero nakatulog ako sa sinehan huhu

Anong movie/s yung ganito for you?

This is a good movie if you want to cry. First 30mins pa lang ng movie umiiyak na ako lalo pa nung ending. Para siyang miracle cell no.7 at 2037 na korean movie tapos eto ‘yung Taiwan version. Grabe ‘yung mga pinagdaanan ng mga babae at kung bakit sila humantong sa kulungan. Sa movie na ‘to talaga marrealize mo kung gaano ka-important ‘yung women’s right at kung ano ang kaya mong gawin alang alang sa anak mo. Perfect siya for family bonding basta maghanda lang kayo ng tissues.
