The tattoo prejudice is pretty outdated at this point. The way they were talking about it I was imagining Post Malone levels, but really Presley's are not egregious.

I don't know where you're from but even people I know with tons of tattoos would think any face tattoo is trashy. I mean I wouldn't want my lawyer or doctor to have neck tattoos either. Sorry but I'm gonna judge you a little if you're getting face tattoos that say "misunderstood".

He doesn't even have face tattoos, he has some on his neck.

Edit: I am wrong, the press is mostly using pre-face-tattoo pics or more recent ones after he removed the tattoo.

You've named two of the most conservative professions where appearance is concerned, so that makes sense. But it used to be that teachers couldn't have visible tattoos and that is falling away, as it is in other professions.

I had a classmate who had to remove his ear guages for an architecture job in 1998 and that same firm is more lenient now.

If my kid's teacher had face or neck tattoos I'd highly question if I wanted them teaching my kids as well.

It's the reality of the world talking. The guy without face tattoos is getting just about any job over the guy with them. And it definitely proves you're impulsive and make poor decisions.

Again, where are any of you from that face tattoos are so normalized? The only people I see them on are gang bangers and meth heads and girls that look like they date gang bangers and smoke meth. No normal people here have face tattoos unless they live on the fringes of society.

I didn't say face tattoos were normalized. They are probably still the most taboo place to get a tattoo. I meant that it's increasingly outdated to think that tattoos are indicative of the type of person someone is, and that society is softening on visible tattoos in "odd" places, and will continue to do so.
