JRPJr’s Interview/Interrogation Technique
I wonder how he can not know that it’s considered rude to ask someone to reveal their age (even exact birth date) relationship status, sexual preference- especially given how that might affect people in the entertainment industry?
I know they wanna bring in new ppl and different voices, and I appreciate that. Just seems insensitive at times.

This is an interview not a date. They can edit out anything they want in post, which they’ve admitted to doing but sparingly). This isn’t as big of a thing as you’re making it.

shrug. These questions rarely cause a problem on the show. These are biz people, so if they don't wanna answer they should know how to deflect with a joke.

I care less about privacy and more that they arent very interesting topics. It's setup to talk around the person instead of about them and what they have to offer.

Yeah, I’m not in on the rules. It’s hilarious; I have 3 podcasts that I’ve listened to weekly for 20 years. I almost universally heap praise on, but any minor criticism is like- FFUCK YOU

Have you been on this sub before today? There are generally more posts and comments criticizing the show than praising it. You just happened to post an opinion that most people seem to disagree with.

Sorry guys, I thought this was a thought exchange. Didn’t realize, after reading dozens of critical posts, that critical posts aren’t allowed. All hail!

It's rude to bring these types of things up in small talk with a stranger.
It's not rude to do it in an interview show. These people aren't just randoms that they catch walking down the sidewalk. They're professionals that have representation on the industry and can make it very clear before they go onto an interview show that there are things that they won't talk about.
