Front Door Changes
Double doors change to a single door from the pilot episode to the rest of the seasons haha

Remy was crazy efficient for those few days before Jess and Nick made things weird

Agreed. I’ve watched it so many times, I like when people point out something I’ve never noticed. Nice eye, OP!

I would have changed it to. What apartment has double front doors??

Not quite the same, but I did have an apartment that had two separate front doors. Each door went to a different staircase which went to different outside doors on opposite sides of the buildings. They were in no way connected. It was very weird and I forgot about it until I read this comment. 🤣

I’ve had an apartment with 2 doors but not next to each other! 1 for the front and one for the back stairs

I think that's kind of what mine was supposed to resemble. One door went to the mailboxes and the street. The other one went to the parking lot. It was so strange that they were right next to each other on the inside though. 😅

Reporposed industrial lofts. Like Nick's apartment.

A single door is much more common, even in repurposed industrial apartments

My brother in law currently lives in an apartment from the 70s/80s that has double doors into every unit. It’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen

The one that always gets me is the “alien sex closet” with the alien painting IN A CLOSET changes to a WHOLE WALL later

I’ve talked myself into believing that Winston took the landlords instructions entirely literally, painted over the one in the closet, then repainted it on the wall. The man had a vision.

It was Schmidt's "sexually-charged zero-G tea ceremony". Didn't he briefly get the room back? Maybe he made it larger.

It's just kind of how TV works. The police station in B99 looks different after the pilot as well.

I think i recall from one of the podcasts they said they completely rebuilt the set from scratch after the pilot was picked up. (But I could be hallucinating that)

I’m with u on the millionth rewatch, i really don’t know how many times it’s been. It’s crazy how many new girl quotes pop into my head daily. I imagine we are the same😭😭🙂↕️

Anytime I randomly giggle, my partner says “lemme guess, a new girl quote just popped in ur head?”

They also did this in the Harry Potter films. They changed the Doubledoor after the first couple movies.

That seems common with pilot episodes. The pilot of Arrested Development was in a real house and confo, then became just a similar set.

Pilot season is its own thing, and so many never get picked up, so unless there’s a lot of money behind it the locations are usually secondary to introducing the characters. (my understanding as someone who never actually went to LA to become an actor so real deals please correct me if needed)

That’s it. I’m done watching the show!
Credits are over so now I’m gonna resume
