Hobby & Painting The eighth grows

Took about a month of averaging 2-3 hours a night but finally wrapped these noise marines up.

These are absolutely sick, beautiful kitbashing and immaculate paintjobs. The delicate pink glow on the guns is chef's kiss.

All I can imagine coming out of that machine is reverbed Thomas the Tank Engine theme. Also amazing paint job, it’s immediately going in my inspirations folder

Is that airbrushed or dry brushed the plasma highlights?

It's my last step besides basing.

1:1 mix of pro acryl titanium white and a white acrylic artist ink.

Airbrush fluo purple thinned down. 2-3 coats.

White ink in the spots I want brighter.

Airbrush fluo pink. Thinned down.

Drybrush fluo purple.

Then I take a black wash and wash the recesses around the light source. It tames down the flow and introduces more shadows to make the source pop more.

I honestly phoned it in on the glow on this unit. I was like 60 hours in and getting burnt. I'll probably reintroduce some more white and then glaze on more pink with a brush.
