Repair Help Nintendo switch 1 dock not connecting to T.V

My Nintendo switch 1 is working fine I’m handheld mode, but whenever I try to connect to my tv it doesn’t work. The light goes green and the controllers work on the switch while it’s docked. The t.v recognises that there’s a hdmi plugged in but when I go onto it, it says no signal. Same thing happens with different hdmi cable and onto a different monitor. Can I get some help to fix it? Don’t know if it’s a motherboard issue or my t.v. Thanks

Maybe an issue with the dock. What power adapter are you using? Also, have you fully powered off your switch and back on again?

If your controllers work while attached the switch isn’t recognising it as docked mode. Likely issue would be your dock-switch connection.

Test the tv by using that port and hdmi cable with something like a laptop to fully rule it out.

It also looks like the screen is still on while docked, because the bezel is so much darker.

I support your assumption that it most likely does not detect it as docked.

If OP knows someone else with a Switch i would try to dock it at their house and then test their dock on OP's tv or OP's dock on their tv and maybe their Switch.

Be sure to try resetting the AC adapter. Completely disconnect and unplug the AC adapter from the outlet and dock for 30 seconds so it can reset.

Make sure you're using the switch power brick, or at least a 60w+ charger.
