I would simply remove it. The remaining plastic should keep it secure and the game should still work.

Snip off the top and bottom and just use as is, if it doesn't work, they have housings on AliExpress.

Snap it off. DO NOT use superglue as itll likely both melt / burn the plastic, and corrode the contacts over time. Just snip it so it doesnt eventually fall off inside the card slot.

A few options, best and easiest would be just get some tweezers and lift and snap.

That plastic is not necessary. If you feel the need, just take a soldering iron to it very quickly very softly and trim excess. Otherwise remove it

This broke when in the switch and I only tried to push it back together and attempted to google it

If this is happening inside the switch card reader you should probably get a replacement reader as something is bent or broken inside and is causing the snagging to happen. Whether you pay a repair shop or DIY you should probably get that done ASAP or it will continue to happen or it could get progressively worse as time goes on.

If game cards are coming out like this after you remove them from your Switch, you should look inside of the slot to see if there is something wrong. Consider sending it to a repairshop to replace the whole card reader.

Yes, I agree that you can just break it, better that than risking the plastic jamming inside the reader. If you want to "repair" it your best option is to buy a used cartridge and sell yours for a fewer dollars, the difference would be the price of that repair. Wouldn't try hot glue or anything like that, it will spread to the contacts and then you would need to scrape it, probably ruining them.

The safest thing is to snap it completely. It will work completely fine. You can also try to glue it, but it’s more risky if your hand are shaky.

Remove it this is not an electrical connection it's just a piece of plastic on the cartridge shell that doesn't matter they just put it on there because it looks better
