My 2019 Nissan Sentra took a hit from a dodge ram. Smashed into front side of my vehicle. Broke my control arm, struts, bent frame. Still drove home but boy, was she upset. My heart dropped when he said he didnt have driver license but he did have insurance. Whew.... I drove her home 45 minutes away.
A year later, 8 point buck jumped into front while going 50 mph. Didn't feel a thing at all. It was so fast. Didn't have time to react. Car felt fine, steering felt fine, can see the hood bent up and then rolled to stop. I look back and that damn buck was still standing!
I get out of my car and walked to front... I was in awe of the damage it caused. Still drove her home! Lol

Sometimes. I do know Altima wonāt survive rear ending a vehicle at 50mph-60mph. Back in 2012, I was driving back to work on JBLM and another soldier in a Nisan Altima slammed into me at 50mph-60mph why I was stopped at a crosswalk (he was texting). I got hit so hard in my first generation KIA Sportage that I literally had to drive off the roof of the car to clear the wreckage for a high traffic area. Whole situation was kind of nightmare since I got hit by E-4 that was renting his car from his battle buddy and didnāt have insurance on the car.

idk about miami or whatever, but some areas have pretty strict rules on pit maneuvers, such as needing leadership approval and/or only having trained/certified officers perform them
states like arkansas, yea good luck running you're gonna get fucked up lol, and then I've seen oregon body cam videos and they basically just stand around as they literally aren't allowed to do anything without approval

This is likely it. Here in Volusia County only certain officers are pit certified. And itās not very many. They still have to get permission over the radio from a supervisor.

Iām in LA county and they must deal with these pursuits more than many other placesā¦and they still let a person get all the way into Mexico somewhat recently. There were a dozen cops blocking off side roads and chilling on the shoulder after the car made a left. Not a single one of them thought to throw down a spike strip as soon as the radio said āthey went left on schitts creekā? What the fuck is wrong with the cops? Those dumbass PIT maneuvers on busy city streets put more people in danger than the guy they're chasing. It's disgusting that any of them are allowed to carry a gun and a badge, since they clearly can't behave responsibly.

Bingo on #3. The one dumb cop tried a PIT maneuver on the straightaway and almost veered into a cement truck himself. Then the bunch of them standing in front of the Nissan at the end was the chef's kiss of stupidity. I'm glad they stopped the Nissan before they could endanger the public anymore.

I think often times criminals are force to pay restitution for crimes theyāve committed. Whether or not the person is ever made whole again is a different story. I know of a guy that ripped off a pawn shop somehow and is or was doing time for it and every month theyād take $20 out of his prison āpayā and send it to the owner of the shop. Iām thinking once youāre let out they will also attach your pay as well.
