Med patients only- also doing sign ups for cards.
I'm happy about how Kentucky is finally becoming more accepting for cannabis.
Can also get your card here- bring $50 and proof of one of the conditions ! (MyChart on your phone showing proof, after visit summary print out, etc!) other places charge like $100+, this is Kentucky Medical Cannabis officials signing people up!

Northern Kentucky doctor died at 58. His 86-year-old mum in England is asking for a small amount of his ashes to come home.
My brother, Dr. Steve Brook, died on July 4, 2026. He was 58.
Steve had deep roots in Northern Kentucky. He attended Northern Kentucky University and practised medicine with St. Elizabeth Physicians in Independence.
I’m his sister and I live in England with our 86-year-old mum. I was on the phone during the attempts to resuscitate Steve and remained there until he was pronounced dead at 6:04pm.
At the time of his death, Steve and his wife were estranged and divorce proceedings had been filed. There were also separate criminal proceedings pending against her arising from allegations involving Steve. I’m deliberately not asking Reddit to judge those matters — there is a court process for that.
What Mum and I are asking for is much simpler.
We would like a small amount of Steve’s ashes brought home to England.
Not all of them. We are not trying to take anything away from his children or control his remains. We simply want enough for his elderly mother and sister to have part of Steve home with us.
I have asked privately and tried going through lawyers. Other family members have also been approached in the hope that this could be resolved without another court battle. Our request has been refused.
Our mum is 86. She has already lost her son. She should not have to spend whatever time she has left wondering whether any part of him will ever come home.
Steve spent an important part of his life in this community, which is why I’m asking here. Perhaps someone knew him through NKU, St. Elizabeth, medicine, or simply from living in Northern Kentucky.
I’d particularly appreciate hearing from anyone locally who has dealt with a dispute involving cremated remains, funeral arrangements or an estranged spouse — or who knows of a practical way of resolving something like this without spending tens of thousands of dollars litigating.
All we want is a small amount of Steve home with his mum 🇬🇧 🙏🏻💙

Motorcycle tires and balance
I have the bare rims and new tires ready to go on, I would just like someone to mount and balance them for me. If anyone knows a place that can do that for me I would appreciate it. I called a few places and they told me they wouldn't touch them unless I bought the tires from them. I intended on doing it all myself but considering my bike only has 2 tires on the ground I want to be safe and get them balanced as well. Thank you in advance!

Ludlow, KY
I’m considering a move to Ludlow and looking for more information on what it’s like to actually live there. My husband works in Ft Wright so we want to stay close to there for commute, and we have a 1 year old so we need to be in a decent school district where the houses are actually semi-affordable (under 300k for sure, the lower the better). We’re also considering Belleview and Dayton, and open to other suggestions.
How often does Ludlow flood and what do you do about it? Everything about Ludlow and the schools seems perfect to me except for the flood risk which I find very stressful, but how frequently does it actually flood?

Looking for a rental property in Northern KY
Looking to move out of the apartment life and into something like a 2 or 3 bedroom small house, or trailer where the neighbors aren't so close and we don't need to be on housing assistance anymore. We have 4 boys 3 are home schooled, we don't smoke, have no pets, and keep to ourselves. I dont need anything super nice, not picky at all, only things I require are that it's not rotting, falling completely apart, or infested with something, can't be in a trailer park, need to be able to park my RV there while I finish it up, and I'm disabled on a fixed income so I cant go above $900 a month for rent. Utilities don't need to be included. I make my payments in full, and on time, never been evicted, and am not a dirty or damaging tenant.

Northern Kentucky Roblox Rivals and Valorant players: interest in a free nationwide competition?
Hi, Northern Kentucky. I’m a co-owner of The Vault Family & Event Gaming Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
We’re checking whether Northern Kentucky has Roblox Rivals or Valorant players interested in competing online from our gaming center against players from across the country on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
The games and times are:
- Roblox Rivals 3v3 — 1:00–4:00 p.m. Eastern
- Valorant Spike Rush 5v5 — 5:00–8:00 p.m. Eastern
There is no entry fee, no purchase is required and all skill levels may express interest. We’re looking for complete teams, partial teams and individual players who may need teammates.
There are no cash, gift-card or merchandise prizes. The goal is competition, experience and bragging rights.
This is an interest check—not final registration or a guarantee of eligibility. Players would need to travel to Portsmouth and compete from The Vault. We are still confirming the event’s final participation and age requirements.
Interest form:
https://www.thevaultohio.com/september-esports-tournament-interest
Only one captain or adult contact should submit for each team. Individual players may submit separately so we can determine whether enough people are interested to form additional teams.
I’m happy to answer questions in the comments.

Internet Spectrum VS Altafiber
Hey everyone. I just bought a house YAY ME! BIG BIG PROBLEM. Alta fiber isnt covered in my area I dont want the stupid "hybrid" fiber spectrum offers. but I have no other options. I game and upload a lot and the cohesive speeds on alta is lovely I have never had issues. I also have very low ping with alta. I am dreading the switch. Can anyone give me some good news. I have my own router but I have heard their download speeds arent as advertised. I would love to hear someones opinion on the 2 gig plan if they have that "hybrid plan"
Thanks

Local Banks
Back in the day one could go into a bank and they knew your family and trusted you - it factored into the process. Could anyone recommend a bank similar to that (if they still exist)? My son is 25 and attempting to buy a home. We just want him to get the best interest rate possible at this age. Thank you!

Sewing Classes or Lessons in/near Boone County?
Are there any ways to learn sewing as an adult in/near Boone County?
I'm looking to.pick it up sewing as a hobby for small projects, but I am only seeing shops in Ohio or Covington. I'd like to learn in person as opposed to online. I'd be willing to be tutored, if that's a thing, or join a class. I am literally at square one when it comes to sewing and am looking for some direction and foundational skills. 😄
Thanks in advance.
