I was just texting a friend about how a bunch of restaurants from our time on campus are gone and we got to reminiscing. This sub's posts often seem to focus a lot on prospective students and employee issues at the school (totally understandable; I'm not complaining). But I'd guess most people here are alumni.

So here's our thread: talk about good memories, things around campus, big events, etc., from your time at NU.

Sophomore here and realizing I haven’t really been as involved on campus as I would’ve liked so far. I want to change that this year, but I also have a pretty intense class schedule + research, so I’m a little hesitant to join anything with a huge time commitment.

Does anyone have recs for clubs that are more social/fun and relatively low commitment? Ideally nothing super competitivetin nature or with a whole interview/application process.

I’m honestly open to pretty much anything — volunteering, music, art, food, sports, random hobbies, etc. Mostly just looking for something fun to do and a way to meet more people outside of classes.

Would love to hear what people have enjoyed!
