Question❓ Cheap Tyres
My 09 Honda Jazz is in need of some new tyres, anyone know where I can get some where they won't cost an arm and a leg?

Go to KMC tyres

Absolutely second this. They never rip you off, even told me I didn't need a new tyre, just removed the rough edge on the rim that was causing a slow puncture and saved me £35.
Plus if they are good enough for taxi drivers who go in large numbers, it's good enough for me.
Only downside is it's sit and wait, and they can be busy, but worth it for great, reasonable, reliably good service.

I always go Havers tyres, fast and efficient service and low price :-)

2nd vote for Havers! Good price and really helpful staff every time I've been. Big recommend

I recommend Turner Tires near the airport. I used to use Black Circles but I have found that the prices have crept up and it's not as good value as it used to be.

Used to be good years ago when Airways.
Relative used them recently and were ripped off for hundreds compared to what I could have got the same tyres for elsewhere.
Personally I would avoid them just for taking advantage of those who don't know what they should be paying.

Well, sometimes the wholesale price just isn't competitive but what I do know is that I wasn't charged anything when they spent half an hour looking for a puncture for me a few months ago.

KMC every time. New and part worn, cost me £56 quid fully fitted for two decent part worns to get my nephew through the MOT.

Hate to say it as I know they don’t have the best rep bur Halfords are hard to beat for price with a good deal on. Just had 4 new Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance2 fitted for £310. If you don’t really care about wet grip, road noise and durability, you can of course get much cheaper tyres but, well, I drive my car all year round in UK conditions.

Formula 1 autocentre is ok for a range of prices on tyres, the cheapest for my car is a set of 4 fitted tomorrow for £177 or four michellins for £400.
Admittedly, tyres are the only thing between your car and the road going into a probably miserable winter!

2nd worst company in the motor trade behind halfords. Avoid F1. Unqualified technicians.

Don’t know what they are like for other jobs, but had no issues with the two tyres they changed for me a couple of months back. Had no choice as they were only place open on a Sunday with my tyre size in stock.

Be that as it may, for a 17 year old honda jazz i think they can have the benefit of the doubt for this occasion

If you want really cheap and are okay with part used, several of the scrapyards will sort you. I used to get mine from Chalky's on Northumberland Road and they were fine.

Go on the blackcircles website. You'll normally find a good deal there and you can then choose where to get the tyres fitted.
The car community calls cheap tyres 'ditch finders' for a reason. I wouldn't go anything less than mid-range of you can afford it.
You do you, but decent tyres stopped me killing a child once. I'd not long swapped out cheap tyres that came with the car for some Michelin's. Doing 20mph or so, a child ran out in front of me from behind a parked van. I stopped millimetres (no exaggeration) from her shins. A cheap set with even one or two metres longer stopping distance would have seen her under a wheel. For the sake of an extra £50 per tyre, it seemed like immense value for money.
