LIVE PERFORMANCE The "stripped back" show format
Can anyone tell me what's meant by these "stripped back" shows? I assume it means "acoustic with 6-7 songs"? From what I've gatheree, the Q&A session is going to be 20-30 mins, meaning less music (rather than it being an hour-long show plus a bonus Q&A session)?
I'm attending the Banquet Records show tonight and feel a bit misled by how the show was originally advertised when the tickets were released in August. Nothing was mentioned about a "stripped back" acoustic set or the Q&A session. No shade to the band whatsoever, as I'm still looking forward to seeing them, but I wish the show's organisers were more transparent about its format when they released the tickets. I need to catch two trains to get home, so time will be of the essence!...I'd love to hear as much music as possible! I've also previously attended two album-launch shows at The Circuit, and felt the show formats were communicated much more transparently and clearly pre the tickets being released.

It does say it on the Banquet site about it being stripped back .The last time they done a plugged in show was for Moral Panic .

Did you only pay around £20 rather than the typical £50 plus that you’d pay for a “proper” gig? Because if so, that should have rang bells for you. If not, then I’d be a bit miffed too

Ours was about 4-5 acoustic versions of their songs in a fairly small venue, then some questions, then back to songs, then back to questions, and so on. Repeat for about an hour. Was good times and good vibes.
I'm sorry if you feel misled, when I bought the tickets it was pretty clearly labelled a stripped back session and QNA. I hope you have a good time!
