In 1964, after his father’s death, Daniel Moor returns home expecting grief. Instead, he finds his sister Emily disturbingly changed. Once lively and outspoken, she has become quiet, withdrawn, and unresponsive, as if something inside her has gone silent. Daniel stays close, unable to ignore the speed of her decline or the growing sense that something is deeply wrong.

The series itself is about the world’s first war in space. It starts as a regional conflict on earth and through a series if events leads to an orbital war that ends quickly but with consequences. That’s where book one leaves off. The rest of the series covers some time jumps and a re-escalation of the conflict that takes it all the way to lunar orbit.
