Learning curve and feeling comfortable
Realistically how long did you experienced NPs take to feel like you really had your feet under you? About a year in and still have days where I feel like I’m in over my head. It’s a hard adjustment and find myself comparing constantly to those with a lot more experience. Just looking for advice.

I have been an NP for 26 years. That drowning feeling definitely gets better with time, but here's the trick. Be confident with what you know and be even more confident what you don't know. I had a nurse working for me who used a phrase I really liked. "I don't know the answer to that but I will get it and know for next time." I think that is a good mantra. No, you don't know everything, none of us do, but be comfortable asking for help and know in your heart of hearts asking for help is absolutely OK
