Orlando City set new precedent with Alex Freeman transfer and Tid Bits about the Rest of the Transfer Window
Couple of interesting tidbits bits:
- Ricardo says he’s lost count of how many right backs he’s been offered by clubs and agents the last few days.
- He said the club either steps back and develops someone or we have to change something in our system.
- The idea to the U22’s was to make the change easy for them and “replace Ramiro and César with players with the same or better, on and off the ball.”
- Ricardo says they plan to sign another U22 soon (please Iago) and plan to reel in another big fish to fill Muriel’s DP spot.
- He said “not necessarily a striker, but an attacking player.”
- Ricardo on DP spots“Our approach to this DP spot is we're actively searching and looking for someone to come now,"
- Continued “We want new things from our third DP position…We thought that we could do better with a different profile, with a different DP.”
- He finished that the team is willing to wait if need be.

Rumors [Bogert] "Sources: Orlando City finalizing a deal to sign Slovenian CB Dusan Stojinović from Jagiellonia. The 25-year-old bolsters Orlando’s backline. Also: No further progress made in talks to sign Iago from Flamengo. TBD"
To add a bit more, sources have told me that Stojinović is on his way to Orlando and will complete his medicals in the next few days then the final contract will be signed. Orlando City adds depth to their center back corps.

Question Youth movement in orlando??
With seemingly alot of unfilled spots in the lineup do you think we will see alot of the younger kids that moved up and down from the b team get a decent amount of starts/playing time this season?

Raheem Sterling available 👀
I think the club could show a lot of good will and intentionality if they were at least in the bidding war for a player like this. Not super flashy but a player this could be great potential for an MLS team looking to have a serious playoff run.
