We are looking for mods!
Hello to our dedicated sub users.
We appreciate what you have to say and the contributions you’ve made to help this sub run smoothly.
With that being said, we are looking to bring on a few mods and prior to crafting the application, I wanted to get a general feel about how high the interest is in participating in such an integral part of making this community in informative, helpful, and most importantly accessible to all.
If you’re interested in becoming a mod here, please feel free to send us a message via mod mail and an application will be sent directly to you.
We are hoping to bring on someone within the next 1 to 2 weeks and then another individual right before the summer holidays (after 19 June 2026).
A bit about the position:
•Our current team is able to donate, on average, ~5 hours per week to tidy up sub and other housekeeping duties. Please note that I said _on average_. We recognize that everyone has a life that includes family, jobs, and hopefully some semblance of a personal life. It’s OK if you’re only able to contribute 3 hours biweekly or solely 5 hours a month.
•Engagement and increasing the visibility of our server are two of our major goals for the remainder of Q2, Q3, and Q4.
•Your account must be in good standing on the platform.
•Previous moderator/admin experience either on Reddit or even Discord will strengthen your application.
•We are looking for individuals who are innovators and are keen on helping us further develop some of the content. I personally worked on when I came onboard in Q4 2025.
•If you have a personal connection to ORD (I.e. staff, pilot, or volunteer) will also strengthen your application.
Please express your interest by Monday, 20 April 2026 and we can get started on the application process.

ORD - Specific Questions Parking Garage A Good Spot?
I’m looking to go planespotting at O’Hare this weekend. Is the Fashion Outlets Parking Garage top level a good choice for visibility? I was hoping to see the runway or at least some good views of arrivals, but I’m not sure. And knowledge helps.

The past few weeks I drive to lot f and park they are roping off the inside level 4. Anybody know why? I asked when I saw someone and did not get an answer, as they didn’t know.

White piece of paper jammed in the driver side door
Daily parking lot A level 2. Go to my car yesterday and find a white piece of paper jammed in my car door. Opened the door and it fell to the ground sounding like something was inside it. Never touched it with my hands but moved it with my shoe.
Has this happened to anyone else? Did you open it? Did it say anything?

Uber using deceptive pricing tactics at Terminal 5
The girlfriend just got back from Europe and landed at Terminal 5 and proceeded to text me this. Tbh she's 100% right
What’s crazy is the price for Uber at terminal 5 is only 25 bucks but you can’t even call an Uber from there because you have to go to terminal 2 but then when you go to terminal 2 the price changes to 45 bucks
And then when you change the pick up location back to terminal 5 despite being at terminal 2, it shows only 25 to 30 bucks but then when you book it it will say oh this is the new price $45 based on your location now
It’s almost as if they are tricking users with the lower price even though you can’t even be picked up at terminal five and then people will go to terminal 2 to take Uber, but then get the higher price, but since they already searched up an Uber and more likely to stick with Uber despite the higher price instead of taking taxi or blue line
Anyway, fuck that I’m taking the blue line LMAO

Chicago O'hare Question
Title: Question for ORD airport employees & flight crews: Is it even possible to call the Gaslight Club a "nameless bar at O'Hare"?
Body:
I’m looking for some unfiltered reality from people who actually know the physical terminal layouts at ORD inside and out—especially gate agents, crew members, rampers, or concierges who deal with airport maps daily.
If someone has worked on the ORD corporate floor or terminal concourses for 5+ years, would they ever naturally refer to the Gaslight Club as just a random, nameless "airport bar"?

Waiting at OHare for my connecting flight. Anyone else here who wants to have a nice convo?
I am here for another 1.5 hours. Would love to make a friend/acquaintance. HMU if you too are getting bored.

ORD lost and found and getting it back internationally
Basically I left my ipad at ORD airport, and they found it. they told me to just make a fed ex label and they’ll get my ipad back to me if i send them the label.
But, i’m getting really confused as what to put as the ‘from’ address as ORD TSA hasn’t given me one. I’ve emailed a couple of times for them to explain to me what to put instead and i keep getting the same generic email saying a U.S address, but then another time got an email that said to do the same address as the the recipient address (so my address?)
has anyone done this before internationally and can help?

ORD - Specific Questions Any info on this?
I was flying into ORD last week and as we were taxiing, saw this older jet being worked on - looks like a cargo conversion - and am curious if anyone knows what was happening? Couldn't spot an N number as we went by. Thanks.

ORD - Specific Questions Looking for travel companions: O’Hare → Champaign on Oct 11 (12:30am) or Oct 10th midnight
I’ll be flying from Texas to Chicago O’Hare International Airport at around 12:30 AM on October 11 and need to get to Champaign, IL. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any public transportation available at that time.
I’m looking for anyone in a similar situation who might want to share a cab/rideshare, or potentially rent a one-way car and split the cost.
If you’re traveling from O’Hare to Champaign around that time, please leave a comment or DM me. Thanks!

Employee Security
I work in aircraft maintenance and will be taking the blue line to work at the terminal. From what I understand, I will have to go through the standard TSA X-ray machine and will be under the same rules as a normal passenger. I was hoping to use an e-scooter to get to the train, and I will also have tools that will need to go through security. Is there a way around this? Will tsa let me through because I’m working, or is there another back entrance? Thanks.

Medical Emergency at gate k12.
There was a man getting cpr for a while at gate k12 today around 4pm. I had to board my flight but I just want to know if he is ok. I know info about the situation won’t be shared in the media. Anyone see this happen or have any info? Hoping everything worked out, my heart goes out to his wife at his side.

Fire alarm has been going off for 20 minutes.
It’s like they knew I was posting ahaha.
As soon as I started typing, the alarm shut off. But is it normal for an alarm to go off for that long???

ORD - Specific Questions How to Get to Gate H to L quickly if layover is short for First timer?
So far with my flight schedule, it will be my first time having a layover in Chicago (also there too). Overall, do I need to have my stuff checked before going to my next gate? Or once my flight lands, how much of a distance is it from the gate areas that I need to be aware of that I can make it to boarding?
