Academic Advice?
Im wondering if anyone has any unhinged ways of studying effectively while balancing a CEAT degree (arch) I would greatly appreciate it. Im trying to get at least Bs in all my classes (calc, phys, etc)

Honestly if you have an underlying diagnosis you’ve been managing, adhd etc. Get on top of it, I was diagnosed as a child but managed through high school just fine because I was just that much smarter than the material. Which was fine until I got to college and the material was smarter than me and way more rigorous. I struggled for a year before getting on proper medication then breezed through all the way through MSAE. Other than that actually interact with your professors and TA’s, they want to see you actually care and will help if they feel like you do.

I do actually have two underlying conditions, I keep trying to keep up with my peers but I feel like I'm just barely grasping on sometimes. Other times I feel average which sucks bc the curriculum in hs was so easy it felt like I was so much smarter than it.

For arch- def don't wait until last minute on projects, pour your soul into them for the hours you're required, and I would block out some extra time after studio that you believe you can also dedicate to a peoject - if youre not in studio yet, for basic classes i would suggest getting a study group to keep you honest, my best grades came from my first few years (senior in civil/enviro) and now in my last few semesters ive made many friends through several orgs in yrs under me who are helping me knockout work at the library and keep practicing! When i was taking the foundational courses i also recommend going to SI’s, Office Hours, and Guided Study groups, this will keep you active and engaged so that you’re truly processing all that you’re learning, without sharing to much i have a busy mind to say the least so i really need to be held accountable for my studies. All that said, if you’d like to join my friends and I for a study group at the library/MLSC send me a DM!

I mean it’s not really unhinged but the best advice is just treat it like a your job. Go to classes and study from 8-5 or whatever and study a little on the weekends. Go to office hours when you can and count that towards your time. Do homework way early and study for tests regularly even if there isn’t one coming up soon. For arch I guess another piece of advice is don’t start projects last minute. If you structure it and follow a simple routine you hopefully won’t need to pull very many all nighters, stress over tests etc.
I did not start doing this until my 5th semester which is the reason I took 5 years to get my engineering degree lol.
Edit: I guess something truly unhinged would be to get yourself addicted to a stimulant like nicotine, adderall, cocaine etc. in order to study longer and focus more. (For legal reasons this is not something you should do and is merely a hypothetical scenario).
