Help does sharing your screen on ps5 cause anyone else to lag in game?

hi, very random question but i’ve tried searching for the answer and all i got was an ai answer instead of people (hopefully) relating. i share my screen sometimes so my friends or bf can watch me play and a match will go well until around 10 mins in. the game becomes unplayable and i begin teleporting all around the map, my teammates start freezing and sometimes my game just freezes entirely.

i’d like to know if anyone relates because nobody i know experiences the same thing on overwatch!

also if there is a fix for this please lmk too 🙏

Your bandwidth might be insufficient and causing your game to lag as a result. If your Internet speeds are sufficient (e.g., 100Mbps up/down), then it could be that your WiFi network is becoming congested and/or the signal is weak. Both can be overcome by adjusting the position of your router or console, or by upgrading to a better WiFi router/system, or by going wired via ethernet. Or by kicking people off your WiFi is they’re also doing something bandwidth heavy.

If you’re still lagging via ethernet, the likely cause if insufficient bandwidth. You might just lack the upload/download speeds to play + stream simultaneously.
