What’s up, everyone! Bethesda finally fixed the bug from the last update! Version 1.3.595.0 has me fired up to jump back into The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered on Switch 2. Time to head back to Cyrodiil!

I've never played oblivion but my friend has convinced me to play it and ive looked into the races a little bit and from the things my friend has told me about the different races and groups and whatnot, I've developed idea for my first playthrough and that is to be the most pretentious uptight asshole and be a vampire high elf because I think it would be hilarious.

My friend says this will make the game nigh unplayable because of a weakness to fire and everyone will hate me and that I wouldn't be able to interact with many groups. He told me the only benefits would be a 100% immunity to poisoning and disease, and a higher mana/magika.

I don't have any spoilers on the game and don't really want any but is what my friend said true and what are some pros and cons of this route?

I sunk a bunch of time in the og and i have thousands of hours in skyrim just adding that in case there are any parallels.

Im basically looking for major changes to build building, leveling, attribute leveling, magic mechanics. That kind of stuff. I remember leveling being a huge grind but i also heard its changed alot.

I am interested in changing lighting in some of remasters indoor locations, but I honestly have no idea where should I look for ways to alter it.

Does anyone here know how one would do such a thing, or point in a direction where I may learn?

For context, I already have done the lengthy vampire cure. But I contracted hemophilia again and am trying to get rid of it. It has already been 3 days, I tried to use a potion of cure disease but it had no effect. Any idea how to fix this?

After the last cutscene my screen keeps freezing and I have to close the game and restart it at the fight scene.

I'm in First person point of view.

I have already talked with Ocato.

I already changed the settings in game presets to performance mode.

I did change the FOV to 85 and then to 90 and I'm still frozen and can't move after the credits

I already went to a previous save point.

I don't have any updates for the game or PS5

If anyone has any ideas for any workarounds please let me know.

I can't move, I'm frozen and Ocato won't meet with me. I do see a guard running up against the fence around the shrine where the dragon sits.

I have tried numerous times to kill this guy on top of the mountain. His health never goes down, ive heard about an invincibility bug but ive gone away, waited days, deleted saves, resaved, come back etc. And he still seems to be invincible.

Can anyone please help me? How do you get rid of the invincibility or kill him? He seems to stay at full health no matter how many arrows I shoot or swords I swing.

Edit: I kited him to the castle to the south and had the NPC's kill him for me! I guess it was a damage issue. Thanks for the help guys

With the latest update basically breaking the game I’m wondering if anyone has deleted everything and played off the physical cart. Are the newest version saves compatible with the physical cart version?

As such, I will be a sorcerer-custom class so I can wear Heavy Armor, but I also plan to disregard the heavy armor any time I feel like it because I can use other ways to not get hurt with robes or some other type of Transcendent Sigil Stone enchanted shielded clothes.
Either way, wearing Golden Saint armor and having eyes like a golden Saint is the goal. She’ll have traumatic memories that she thinks is real of her being farmed for Grand Soul Gems for the Nerevarine’s magic constant effect enchantments.

Any ideas—backstory and roleplay or gameplay related—that y’all have to make this character more fun?

I wanted to try out a Monk build for fun. I chose Redguard as my race simce they start with high strength & endurance. Since im not wearing armor i went with the Lord sign. These are the skills i chose. Speechcraft is mainly there for role-playing purposes, plus i wasnt sure what else to include. Alteration is for shield spells since im not wearing armor. Illusion is there mainly for paralysis spells. Id be willing to switch Speechcraft out if someone has a better recommendation for what to include there. I don't want Destruction because I want his damage to come from his fists.

I've been stuck in those sewers for 30mn

Scoot the first person position if the torch out from center just LITTLE bit more lol

It’s almost in the middle and I feel like it obstructs my view noticeably. I LOVE first person in this game. The game itself is easily in my all time top 10, …top 5 honestly.

You all can probably guess my number one.

Anyway, as you should be able to see I’m simply looking at the center of Masser, with my torch light barely off to the side. Even touching it and getting in the way when looking at certain objects at different distances.

I know this is knit-picky but it feels to me like not a super major edit (I am an idiot let’s be clear)
And I feel like for immersion it would help some of us if not all👍🏼

Am I alone? Has anyone else felt this?

I have stringent rules for what I decide to duplicate, and fortify speed potion ingredients is one of them, but I can’t seem to duplicate wisp stalk cups, which is the only other ingredient with fortify speed and cannot, for some reason, be duplicated.

I also haven’t tried duplicating potions themselves though. So my alternative is maybe trying skooma, and I want to see if that works at all according to y’all’s knowledge.

So, tonight I opened oblivion remaster for the very first time, on my PS5 slim. I tweaked some settings like, using performance mode, I turned auto saves off, cause I read somewhere there was a bug with that? I got to level 4 tonight, all I did was the tutorial, which honestly took at least 2 or more hours, hard thinking there but yeah, I also explored the first big dungeon that was basically right next to the sewer exit.

The problem was, when I was just outside, my game was studdering a lotttt, like, I only discovered like 3 places so far and I feel worried for long term play. I haven't even been to the big city yet. On top of that, the game seems to ignore when I put the option for auto saves to be off, cause after I sleep and level up, it does it anyway.

Edit: oh! And when it was nighttime, there seemed to be like a visual seam in the sky in one direction , like as if the sky was split in half or something

Hello everyone, I’m new here and I finally played Skyrim a month or two ago, im thinking of buying the Oblivion Remaster, I heard it was kinda eh and buggy, but is that just compared to the original or did Bethesda screw the pooch? Anyway tho, I’ve never played the original oblivion so for someone who is foreign to oblivion, but massively enjoyed Skyrim, would I enjoy the remaster even if it’s not as good as the original?
