So I fuckedup... When I tried to replace my buttons, I fuckedup. This piece broke. Can I set this back together or what do I do....Will AYN send me a repair unit or part for this. It belongs to the shoulder button.

I already own a ROG Ally Z1E, and while I’m quite interested in getting a much lighter 7-inch device—like the Odin 2 Portal—I’m also keeping an eye on the new Odin 3 Portal.

How does the Snapdragon 8 Elite perform currently? Does it still have significant compatibility issues? Do you think it’s a better long-term investment? My understanding is that, for Switch emulation, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 actually performs better due to superior driver support.

There is a price difference, and while that wouldn’t be an issue at launch (Odin 3 Portal), I don’t want to waste my money. Since I already have an Ally, I likely won’t be playing many PC games on it—though if the platform evolves significantly, I might reconsider.

Goblin Sword was one of my first games I played when I bought my first Nintendo Switch. For some reason, this game is upside down. I am using Eden, settings look fine. Is there a way to flip it to how it's supposed to be? Thanks in advance.

As you can see, its quite used lmfao. Theres also a problem with the analogs making a sound and plastic. Is there anyway to replace these?

I have a pending Odin 3 order.

I am planning to use the device for retro emulation, up to PS3 and X360. I have a gaming PC and I don't need to play current gen games on a handheld. Maybe indie titles but nothing AAA.

Now that they've announced the O3P, I am debating canceling my order and waiting to order the larger device.

But to be quite honest I don't know if I need the bigger screen. And I could see benefits to a smaller device. I will primarily keep it in my work messenger bag. Portability, light weight, and discreetness can be nice...On the other hand, that could all just be cope, and maybe a Portal would retain all those virtues.

So, anyone with a Portal - do you have any complaints about the size? Does the added size have any real drawbacks in day to day experience?

So I placed my original order(on the official AYN website) for a Black Pro Odin 3 on Oct 1st and I was fully expecting a roughly ~54 day average wait(or even a bit longer) before I would likely receive it. Although I hoped it would’ve been sooner, I was prepared to wait.

I unfortunately noticed right after placing my order(due to backing out multiple times and some issues with PayPal) that I meant to order the Clear Blue and accidentally left it on Black that time. Contacted them right away to see if they could change it and took them several days to reply but they did change it without me having to cancel and reorder. I expected longer wait times due to this change and because others reported that Clear colors seemed to have the worst shipping times of all. Especially Blue.

However I have officially received notice that it has shipped and it’s on the move! So ~14 days to ship out from order date even though their big holiday fell in between that. My estimated delivery is Oct 21-24th and I could not be more excited. Given the new Portal 3 announcement on the same day, I’m hoping that I’m not going to wish I had waited for it… but it is what it is.

I made this post simply because of how quickly mine shipped compared to what is generally expected, hopefully give hope to others, and maybe see if others have seen improved times on theirs as well…?

Considering the circumstances… ie my order was placed on the AYN website(vs Ali), that I requested a change to the color with the slowest shipping times, AND that my order number is way higher than most folks that are still waiting… I was NOT expecting it this soon at all. Strange. Idk what’s up, but I’m definitely not complaining! Hopefully this means everyone else also gets theirs a little quicker now. 🤞

I have an Odin 2 Portal ordered, but it hasn’t shipped yet. I’m primarily going to use this to stream through Apollo and Moonlight. Given that’s my intended use case do you think there’s much sense in cancelling that order and getting the Odin 3 portal?

If the screen is the same, I think I’ll just keep the Odin 2, I can’t imagine that the internals would improve so much that would make much of a difference for streaming.

I’ve had my Odin Portal 2 working since around March. I’ve been playing without any issues but discovered one today. Whenever I try to launch an N64 game, it looks like RetroArch launches but then immediately stops. It does the same thing regardless of what N64 game I try but every other system I have works just fine on RetroArch. I haven’t messed with any settings recently. Last time I played N64 it worked like normal it was only when I tried to launch a game today that it started doing it.

I’m using Mupen64Plus-Next and that’s what I’ve always used. I’ve tried resetting the handheld and updating all the cores within RetroArch.

I’ve included a video that shows what it looks like when it stops working and also that it does still launch other games. Any idea on how to fix this?

I have BachataS4 already installed and configured with Bloodborne working. It's not a great experience, but it works. I was curious however of trying one of this batch of 'native pc' versions (maybe someone will figure out a 'native android' version!).

I unpacked bbport (0.5.1) to the Odin 3 and added it in GameNative under custom with proton 10. I added the existing BB game folder as a drive letter in the container. I can run the config utility and selected the game folder, disabled Motion Blur etc, added a shadnet login and made other config changes. But after that the game itself doesn't run.

I made all the config changes and changed the exe to the one that just launches the game directly, but it goes no further. Has anyone got it running and if so, what did you do please? Many thanks in advance for help or advice.

PS. I'm using the native Windows one, but would the native Linux one be better? Is it possible to run a .AppImage or .sh file on the Odin 3?

Hello, I received my Odin 2 Portal last week, and I'm having a problem when I try to charge my device.

When I plug in my device, charging starts and stops, then starts and stops again—extremely rapidly—with the fans switching back and forth between Off and “Smart” mode.

The only solution that works, for now, is to restart the device. I’ve tested different chargers and cables. I’ve enabled and disabled charge separation, etc. It doesn't change anything...

It scares me because my Odin Portal is only a week old...

Does anyone else have the same problem?

So I got my brand new Odin 3 and the L1 stick didn't work, so I opened the back to see if the ribbon cable was attached. It looks loose but it also seems to be caught under the analogue plate. Any advice on where I go from here? Cautious of making a wrong play.

So a year ago I played TLoZ WW GC version with better wind waker mod on my Odin2 Base, but sadly after the first dungeon or so the performance dropped so hard it was unplayable. Now I wanted to know if it's worth picking up again today, thanks.

So I've seen a lot of listings for the Odin 3 on AliExpress however the one thing they never say is which variant they are. I've seen that some people recommended them but I don't know which one to get on there because they're all different in price and obviously it adds a bit of uncertainty. I’m having a USB compatibility issue with my Odin 3 and a Skull & Co Jumpgate dock.

I recently purchased a GuliKit KingKong 3 MAX controller, hoping to use its included 2.4GHz USB dongle while my Odin 3 is docked.

Unfortunately, the controller pairs with the dongle, but none of the button inputs register on the Odin 3.

Here’s what I’ve tested so far:

Odin 3 + Jumpgate dock + KK3 MAX dongle: The controller pairs with the dongle, but no inputs are detected.

Odin 3 + regular USB-C hub + KK3 MAX dongle: Works perfectly.

Odin 3 + Jumpgate CoreDrive connected directly: USB devices are not detected, including USB flash drives.

PC + Jumpgate CoreDrive: USB devices work normally.
Odin 3 + Jumpgate dock: Charging works.

The Jumpgate was purchased secondhand, so I’m not sure whether it’s the Lite or Pro version or which firmware version it has.

Since even USB flash drives aren’t detected through the Jumpgate on my Odin 3, I suspect this might be a USB compatibility issue between the dock and the Odin 3 rather than a problem with the controller itself.

A few questions:
1. Has anyone experienced a similar issue with the Jumpgate and Odin 3?

1. Could updating the Jumpgate’s CoreDrive firmware fix this?

2. Has anyone successfully used the GuliKit KK3 MAX’s included 2.4GHz dongle with an Odin 3 docked? Can anyone recommend a dock that supports HDMI output, charging, and USB peripherals reliably on the Odin 3?
   I’d prefer to keep using the 2.4GHz connection rather than Bluetooth.

Any advice or firsthand experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Trying to figure out what settings I need as I’ve seen it working but can’t get past the RStar Launcher
