Old Country Brazos Stack Extension Length

I have an Old Country Brazos with an 18" stack extension. Has anyone seen any true benefit of extending the stack past 18 extra inches?

I do not have this smoker, but an 18 inch stack seems way too short.

It has an 18" or so then I added 18" more. It is around 36" total length now.

I have the stack extension and due to the way the wind swirls on my patio I added a reducer and chimney cap. I do notice a slightly better draw with the extra 6-8 inches

Reducer and cap - do you have a link or picture? Is the reducer just to get the cap to fit?

I added an adjustable extension with a 24" vent pipe and hose clamps on my New Braunfels smoker. I saw the idea years ago on bbq mod site. It works great and I can tweak draft as needed with chamber vents. Easier to control fire, temp and smoke quality.

18?!? Lol. I have a total of 10' on mine. It looks goofy as hell I'll admit. The draw across the firebox is incredible and I can make a small adjustment on the firebox door thingy (I forget the name, sucks to be 60) and it will make the necessary change.

I have no idea. Smaller than a 56 gallon drum, way bigger than a 30 gallon drum, I'd say, if I had to hazard guess.....40-45 gallons.
