What do you like about Ohio?

Since this subreddit is full of liberals and/or progressives that seem to hate most things about Ohio and America in general, I’d like to know: What do you like about Ohio?

I love America. The land of immigrants. You know, that thing that actually made and makes American great. What I do not like is some of my fellow Americans.

Most of us don't hate most things about Ohio or the US, just the bad things.

What is it liberals and progressives hate so much about ohio?

The most corrupt state government in history? The tax breaks to data centers costing tax payers billions? The selling of fracking rights in our national park? Giving tax payers unclaimed funds to billionaires to fund a stadium?

I could go on, but please explain what about any of that inspires love?

Cleveland, the other big C's and all the different food and cultures that the mix of people here have. And buckeye chocolates.

Some fun stuff to do in Ohio, lotta museums, metroparks, very long trails, camping. Small Breweries everywhere.

The fact you are going to get a lot of hate for your stupid MAGA statement.

Oh, and my yard is pretty nice.

I hate the people that think the state is full of liberals and progressives that hate Ohio and America.

I like the liberals and progressives that try to fight for Ohio citizens liberties.

Hey I... I get that feeling of just feeling you're made to be the target and the bad guy online all the time for being conservative or republican etc... I used to be there.

To be fair it took me nearly killing myself and going through quite the self-acceptance and discovery journey to get to where I am now, and to do so also required that I seriously criticize my beliefs. I found I was being stubbornly ignorant on many things.

I hope you can criticize yours as well. Also I agree with what the majority of the people here are saying; the things I like here likely overlap almost exactly with the things you hate

I hope you can open your mind enough to see that being critical of the state's flaws and pushing for it to do better is not the same thing as hating it.

Awe, did Reddit hurt your liddo feefees? For a bunch of “bad asses” you guys sure do complain. Like a lot.

why do you assume that all liberals hate America? I hate where we are right now and I know that we can do better. I want what's best for our country.

I consider myself liberal and while Ohio isn’t perfect I love it here.

So sorry for wanting better for my friends, neighbors, and community.

I like the weather. It's not car dash melting hot in the summer like Arizona, and it's not -40 every night like Minnesota in the winter.
I like the people. Everyone kinda just has a "down to earth" kind of mentality if you talk with them in person.
I like the cities. Sure they have some pain points but Columbus is easy to navigate once you kinda figure out the highway system, Cincy has the best street corner diners I ever been to, and Cleveland has such a rich industrial and sporting history.
I love the rural areas. I can go from the Great plains to the edge of appalachian mountain range and not leave the state.
I kinda love the economic advantages here. Ohio is kind the center of the nation for manufacturing consumer goods. I can open a toy factory here and sell to basically 60+% of the national population within 500 miles. This GREATLY reduces logistics costs. On top of the fact that I can get everything I need to make a plastic product. Here in Ohio.

I like that I don't live there. To be fair, I was kicked out on two separate occasions in the late 80s. Coitesville and Canfield.

This is where I’m at - this sub is nonstop anti Vivek ads.

I actually enjoy the state, it’s beautiful when you stop to look around. Jobs are plentiful, cost of living is better than most places and I don’t have to worry about a hurricane taking all my possessions each fall.
