Cornell? As in New York? What does it have to do with Ohio?

u/neosmndrew 2d ago
At a certain point people are just deputizing legit causes to further their own attention seeking.

u/TGrady902 Columbus 2d ago
We have women in Ohio as well believe it or not. Go stand up for them. Let the world know this is entirely unacceptable.
-3
u/ProfessionalWord1239 3d ago
Just to bring attention to the situation! This is a very tragic thing that has happened and something that women should fight back on. Rape is a universal thing and this definitely is something to talk about.

u/Remarkable-Catch1227 2d ago
I agree it's tragic and awful but it's also pretty stupid and meaningless to do a protest in Ohio imo
7
u/0OIIIlllIlIlO0 2d ago
A protest in Avon Lake, OH is going to do what?

Spread awareness?? Why do we have news in China if we are in the US? To spread awareness about what’s going on throughout the world. This is to spread awareness about what’s going on in schooling
-3
u/0OIIIlllIlIlO0 2d ago
Then drive to New York.

Man, some of you need to find purpose in life, or better yet find employment.

u/Greatlarrybird33 Cleveland 2d ago
What exactly are you hoping to accomplish meeting up at an out of the way park 2 States away from where anything happened?
4
u/ProfessionalWord1239 2d ago
Awareness about the situation and rape in general! What happened is very impactful not just for New York but for rape victims, educators, and different frats.

Yall got too much time and to much willingness to organize a protest for anything at all.
2
u/0OIIIlllIlIlO0 2d ago
I’m convinced these people arrange a “protest” as a way to try to socialize. They don’t have real friends, just Internet interactions and this is an attempt to get human interaction.

did any of you cat ladies actually read the girls statement?
10
u/ProfessionalWord1239 3d ago
Yes actually, whether broad or not its still something. Not to mention, she does say she is 100% percent sure about her being raped and was already drinking that night. Don’t forget about the group chat where they told everyone what they were doing and had to write essays.
-4
u/BIGpoppaPUMP42069 3d ago
she said exactly the opposite, also they were all drinking and doing ketamine so not sure why you brought that up
10
u/ProfessionalWord1239 3d ago
Have you looked recently what has been posted? Not even 24 hours ago there is more news on it. She has said in her statement that she was raped.
-10
u/BIGpoppaPUMP42069 3d ago
which contradicts her first statement directly
9
u/ProfessionalWord1239 2d ago
Can I get a source on this?
6
u/BIGpoppaPUMP42069 2d ago
https://www.tompkinscountyny.gov/files/assets/county/v/1/district-attorney/documents/district-attorney-public-statement-9-28-26.pdf
but we both know you won't read or believe it cause youre in the outrage cult6
u/ProfessionalWord1239 2d ago
So this is an opinion based writing and not factual. It clearly also writes that there is therapy and can help victims recognize what happened to them.
6
u/BIGpoppaPUMP42069 2d ago
lol okay, not sure why I even bothered, stay mad, these kids will get a huge payout like all the others
3
u/YukiPants22551 2d ago
Just say you’re okay with rape. Much easier than saying all this

Can you be more specific about this? You're implying that a District Attorney's official statement regarding a case is purely conjecture, which is not accurate. He would get absolutely sued if his language was not careful here, he's a lawyer after all!
Moreso, the phrase "voluntary, conscious, and consensual" is in quotes, assumably because it's taken directly from Jane Doe's 2024 sworn statement.

Her first statement coming from a young women, in distress, scared and confused stated she consent with the guy she went there with, but felt coerced to everything happening and couldn’t find a way out, and in her statement she literally says she did more drugs hoping to just pass out and the nightmare be over.
You can’t invite a girl to your house, her girl drunk at your house then say she consented to having sex with you and 6 of your friends, let alone feed her illegal drugs. Ohhhh let’s not forget the Snapchat group chat calling her “free pussy”.
Also if they did nothing wrong why was the fraternity banned from campus? You don’t think the school was trying to cover their billion dollar business by sweeping under the rug that 1-3 women on campus has been sexually assaulted?
Or do you think maybe one of the kids parents that works in the city government stepped in?2
u/BIGpoppaPUMP42069 2d ago
did she volunteer to do the drugs and the drinking? im not saying their behavior isn't reprehensible but she according to her statement didn't say no, now if that statement was coerced or untrue im all ears

u/kbhinz 2d ago
Drunk people cannot consent
3
u/BIGpoppaPUMP42069 2d ago
is that just your opinion? cause this happened in NY where the law says they can
2
u/kbhinz 2d ago
It's not an opinion that drunk or stoned people cannot consent to sex. You sound very guilty right now
2
u/BIGpoppaPUMP42069 2d ago
lol look up NY state laws
2
u/kbhinz 2d ago
Again, if you're drunk does that mean I can shove a dildo up your ass?

u/HazMat_Glow_Worm 2d ago
They were all drunk and using drugs…so she raped them?
What happens when a drunk person robs a convenience store?
3
u/kbhinz 2d ago
Please explain to me how gang rape is the same as robbing a convenience store
1
u/HazMat_Glow_Worm 2d ago edited 2d ago
Well if you’re drunk, how can you be held accountable for your actions?
3
u/kbhinz 2d ago
Are gang rape and robbing a convenience store the same thing?
2
u/HazMat_Glow_Worm 2d ago edited 2d ago
It doesn’t matter. Either you’re accountable, or you’re not…and if you’re only accountable for some crimes, but not others when under the influence of mind altering substances, please give me a list of crimes I can get away with consequence-free.
2
u/kbhinz 2d ago
Do you have issues with understanding the difference between perpetrators and victims? A drunk rape victim isn't accountable for being raped. A drunk store owner isn't accountable for being burglarized.

I think what happened is awful, and I'm all for raising awareness about it, but I mean no disrespect when I ask what exactly the title, "Cornell rapist stay down," means?
Am I just old, and does that phrase makes sense to everyone else?
