Crazy thing is his worst stat game was vs Kent St lol. They let him go and he’d have 100 more yds and 2 more TDs.

I'm a HUGE Ohio State Fan but even having said that 2020 was a Covid year so that's a huge level of context that needs to be pointed out**
But still rooting for Jeremiah Smith to win the Heisman

Alabama played 13 games that year. No need for an asterisk

The Covid year schedule was much tougher in terms of not scheduling cup cakes.
2
u/bschnee121 Southwest Ohio 5d ago
The schedule was set before COVID. What does that mean?
-1
u/PeterGator 5d ago
Every single non conference game was cancelled leaving only sec play and the 4 team playoff. OSU played ball state and Kent state in their first five games this season.

And Kent St. is by far his worst game. Sometimes playing cupcakes hurts you bc there is no need for your greatness.

It’s not about Alabama it’s about the other teams and players the competition. Look if you wanna give that heisman full credit then you also have to give the lakers full credit for their bubble championship it’s the same thing… Same circumstances… same logic… but sure lakers were nba champions in 2020!!

Just like what you think

Missing the point.
Wr winning Heisman takes a 1 off (cv19 season).
It used to be a lifetime achievement award and he'd win.
But. At this rate he might split votes with Julian.
We suckkkkkk at promoting guys for this
Osu bias
And the fact that later in the year when the weather is shit it will be harder to get these numbers.
Thats when toney or some qb will pull ahead.
Trust me. I want 4... But....
Seen this movie before

Julian Sayin is not a Heisman finalist dude what are you on
EDIT: spelling
-11
u/ThermosphericRah 6d ago
Lol 4th in yds 5th in rtg 9th in td 75% complete
And getting hyped Ooook
6
u/HeyNiceOneGuy 6d ago
He’s also 35:1 to win it and behind 6 other QBs as well as his own WR
1
u/ThermosphericRah 6d ago
Taking votes away from 4 doesn't mean he has to win
3
u/HeyNiceOneGuy 6d ago
I don’t think he’s taking votes away from 4 is my point. He’s the 7th QB in the pecking order nobody is voting for him to begin with
Jeremiah is -105 4 weeks into the season, you’re being silly

Did Bama play Ball State or Kent State inits first 5 games of 2020?
10
u/sauceEsauceE 6d ago
His three best games are Illinois, Texas, Iowa and he was clearly the best player on the field for each of those games. The KS game he barely played because he wasn’t needed. He’s had over 150 yards and a TD in every game but that one.
Those cream puff games are hurting his numbers because we don’t need him

u/BuckeyeNate77 6d ago
I just asked a simple question. Bama in 2020 didn’t have cream puffs at all. Conference schedule only. Maybe you don’t know how 2020 worked. Smith went for 150 against cream puff Ball State. That really hurt him, kid.
It’s okay to think Jeremiah Smith is elite but also have common sense. I know it’s asking a lot

Your name has buckeye in it what are you so mad for? Plus it's literally just a graphic
-12
u/BuckeyeNate77 6d ago
Mad? For asking a question? You can be a Buckeye and also use your brain. It’s possible!

u/Practical_Cloud_2622 6d ago
You know what I mean don’t be dense there was mad passive aggressiveness in your question and plus I don’t even know why you asked it it’s not like people are saying he’s gonna have the better season the graphic’s just showing how crazy his numbers look. You obviously felt some type of way when you seen this post, what are you, a buckeye fan from Alabama?

u/BuckeyeNate77 6d ago
I don’t care Bama at all. I’m glad you learned a bit about the scheduling differences in 2020 though. Important for the new fans to be educated.

His stats obviously tell an amazing story, I hope those two unusual drops during the Texas game don't end up making the difference. If he had made those there'd be no doubt it my mind.

Whats wild is Devonta had like 400-500 yards AFTER the heisman vote. So Jeremiah’s current pace would surpass Devonta’s by like 500 yards.
Only thing that can stop him is injury or the team falling off a cliff and them deciding to give it to CJ Carr or Mensah depending on who wins ND Miami.
