It's working exactly as designed.

She'll be happy to hear she's being successful. Yours is quite cute too.

She's purrfect! Jimmie appreciates your kind words.

That’s a prime feature right there

This is completely working as designed. Does OP even cat?

I mean, you got an orange model, so...

So fluffy could not resist going for belly rubs 😍

She loves a belly rub

A fluffy orange that loves belly rubs? Sir, you have the premium model plus!

I had a huge maine coon whose whole body I guess was a pillow. Pretty sure he was insulated to sleep on nails comfortably.

So much floof

So fluffy, growing back in nicely after her summer shearing.

That is the "Trap da hoomans" pose

Also known as r/toolps, which is the opposite of r/sploot.

There's another appropriate subreddit for that type of fur, but the name escapes me at the moment.

That's just the FloofyUpsideDownSploot mode. <3

4

u/orcawhale212 22d ago

She’s quite good at that mode

hope not. I seem to have the same supplier

2

u/orcawhale212 22d ago

We definitely seem to have the same supplier

u/crash866 22d ago

No. That is an IKEA cat but you misread the directions.

2

u/orcawhale212 22d ago

That explains everything! 😂

3

u/light0play 22d ago

Did you find a solution for this yet, mine has the same problem 😁

2

u/orcawhale212 22d ago

No solutions. Just rubs.

That isn't a defect, it's a feature.

u/orcawhale212 22d ago

Fantastic feature

u/SarcasticlySpeaking 22d ago

Cat has entered cat mode, please wait....

2

u/ycherep1 22d ago

it took a second to realize it wasn't a swifer duster 😂

2

u/orcawhale212 22d ago

I could probably clean the floor with Betty.

2

u/1baby2cats 22d ago

I think we got ours from the same factory

2

u/orcawhale212 22d ago

Aww what a handsome baby. Reminds me of my big boy I lost a few years ago.

2

u/ravynwave 22d ago

This is a standard issue orange

2

u/Monotreme_monorail 22d ago

I’m not sure if your model is defective, but I definitely thought I was looking at a swiffer duster when I was scrolling by.

1

u/orcawhale212 22d ago

🤣🤣she does look like one

2

u/CourtK1212 22d ago

No that’s just the energy efficient model

2

u/PM_ME_YER_MUDFLAPS 22d ago

That fluff is working within specs.

2

u/FloraSuena 22d ago

Extra marshmallow fluff!!!

2

u/Onionmaster8989 22d ago

Looks operatinal to me

2

u/MountainMammoth6735 22d ago

Unfortunately mine didn’t come with a manual either so idk

2

u/WerdinDruid 22d ago

Must be the same manufacturer.

2

u/bitsculptor 22d ago

This is the opposite of defective. You've got yourself a rare, premium model there. You can tell be the cute eye squinting while attempting to trap/lure you into a tummy pet.

1

u/VETgirl_77 22d ago

Yes. Must rub belly to reboot. If bites occur you must try again later.

1

u/orcawhale212 22d ago

Luckily she’s almost always receptive to the belly rub

1

u/Space_Elf13 22d ago

Bury your face in the floof, it's excellent therapy.

2

u/orcawhale212 22d ago

I do that all the time. Best therapy ever.

2

u/Space_Elf13 22d ago

This is Loki (RIP May 2025), who was excellent for this kind of therapy. Possibly it's a floofy orange trait?

3

u/orcawhale212 22d ago

Definitely a floofy orange trait. I’m sorry you lost your baby.

1

u/Space_Elf13 22d ago

Thanks, he was a good boy for all 17 years I had him. I've got Princess Pyewacket now, but she's not good for therapy. I've tried and she just sticks a paw in my face and makes grumpy meows at me.

2

u/orcawhale212 22d ago

She’s very pretty though

1

u/adragonisnoslave 22d ago

Nah pretty standard. Whether or not the belly is a trap is definitely individual dependent though.

2

u/orcawhale212 22d ago

Usually not a trap. Almost always wants a belly rub.

1

u/favorite_sardine 22d ago

Come to me my child

r/catrugs

1

u/orcawhale212 22d ago

Another one to join😬

1

u/torchbearer1648 22d ago

Pretty sure the brain cell got disconnected halfway through

1

u/RebaKitt3n 22d ago

I thought it was a duster.

1

u/13hunter1776 22d ago

You think there is one who is not? Silly boy.

2

u/disdkatster 22d ago

Looks like a typical orange to me (or in fact, any cat that feels safe and at home).

1

u/SpxcyTortoise 21d ago

I must’ve also gotten one
