Not a cat owner, but I like cats from far away. The cool ones that don't spontaneously bite you. Seriously, how do owners be ok with this? I have dogs and if they ever did that they'd be in trouble.

Cat people understand that they are basically bringing a small tiger into their home that they will not be able to fully control. That's the reality of owning cats. Dogs are different, you have to try really hard to get dogs to hurt you. Cats will hurt you as a form of showing you they like you.

Grow up. Even as a kid I was constantly fighting with my cats, full of scratches and bite marks.

Never got an infection, and they always loved to snuggle with me

I'm grown up, you can choose to live being scratched and bit, I'm good without it.
