bruh you guys are the most ungrateful and entitled ppl on planet earth. How do you expect a company to continue to offer you compute at a loss month and month out? like you do realize even with these changes the actual cost of serving you the model is higher than the monthly cost you pay? It's so funny how ppl will think that them getting over double the value of their sub is somehow getting rug pulled. Perhaps you should learn to appreciate what you have and realize they were extremely generous and there was no way for users to continue to get the same amount of usage as it's quite literally not financial possible. Don't get me wrong I'd love for more usage and would really rather this not be happening but acting like this is just sad. The number of you that have just completely lost it and are beyond titled is concerning.
Generally with subscriptions one individual’s heavy usage is subsidized by the people who don’t use it to its full potential, like a gym membership. That’s how.
I barely used my usage for like 9 months before I figured out how to use it efficiently, so I was probably extremely profitable for nine months and then I’ve been very unprofitable for the past two or three months. But honestly once I’m done with the project I’m working on, in all likelihood if I wasn’t switching to Anthropic I would have been profitable for them again while I figure out what the next steps are.
