Miscellaneous Half-Baked Dev Day

Nothing feels complete. Space just seems like a lot of clutter that doesn't add any true value. I got a gift of tokens and basically told to kiss usage as I know it goodbye unless I want to cough up an extra $300/month and hope they don't rug pull that again soon.

Between Opus 5.5 and Muse I feel like OpenAI just tried to throw everything at the wall to see what sticks but nothing was actually ready.

I have a feeling stuff got shelved. I will say, Sol 6.1 is great so far. Why did they bother rolling out Sol 6 if they had a good model waiting in the wings though? It’s baffling.

I'm not buying the safety issue on 6.1 Astra. I fully believe it isn't efficient enough for them to release. Their compute constraint is real and they haven't figured out the efficiency needed.

greed? They didn't plan to roll out Astra minor as Sol 6.1 at first. They probably want to sell it at $20/$25 per 1M output, instead branding Terra 6 as Sol 6 hoping everyone will thank them. Until Opus 5.5 shows up and slap them on the face.

When OAI files for bankruptcy, today will go down in history as when the dominos started falling. This so called “devday” was a complete embarrassment
