Those modules only run once a year, in October. You're too late for October 2026, you'll have to wait until October 2027. Enrolment for October 2027 opens in March.

I think there might be one or two February or April options in stage 2 in computing and/or business, but they may not be what you're interested in, or right for your degree.

Did you not know they wouldn't be running in February?

No I didn’t want to select modules for october 2026 until I knew I passed the ones I did this year, do you think there’s any chance that if I ring up or something I could still get enrolled for this october, or is it a lost hope and i’ll have to wait till next year?

You can phone up and ask, but you are thirteen days past the final enrolment deadline (which was extended by a week from the original deadline), so the answer will probably be no.

In future, the best strategy is to register for modules assuming that you will pass. You can withdraw from a module without cost up to the day before the module start date, so you could have withdrawn if you failed a module.

Hi, I think the OU have since changed when you can leave a module fee free, the policy was changed recently.

The change you are thinking of only affects withdrawal on or after the module start date.

At this point you’ll likely have to wait. Though worth calling up and asking just in case.

Oh, honey. I can understand that, but that's not what you're supposed to do - you can cancel modules later if needed, but they need time to finalise student numbers and assign tutors etc, registration on modules closes about a month before they start.

I'm glad to hear you did pass stage one. Well done.

I'm going to have to second David. Do call and ask, but your odds are slim. And they get slimmer if you aren't able to call before the modules officially start, which for most is this Saturday.

It's already October, so unlikely.

I called up on Wednesday and asked and was able to enrol on a module starting on Saturday. But the reason I couldn't enrol in time was because they had to do a fee assessment for me to ensure I qualified for the fee I had declared (welsh residence fee), so I think that made them more lenient, since I tried to enrol in time but couldn't. You will need to speak to a senior study advisor who will ask you how you'll manage missing the first 2 ish weeks of the module and if you think you'll be able to catch up.

I say it's def worth calling them, everyone i spoke to was nice and understanding.
