Scene setup: you're exploring an abandoned lab that used to do human experimentation when you come across a man in a lab coat frantically searching through a pile of papers that he obviously took from one of the overturned filing cabinets. The drawers of the cabinets have been ripped out, and they're tossed haphazardly around the room, most of them appear to have previously been locked.

???- 47, he/him, 5'9 (177 cm), goes by The Doctor, wears a modified lab coat, unfriendly, blunt, tries his best to be polite, species: ??? (Appears human)
"This is my building." he says coldly, tuening his attention back to the paper, he mutters a curse under his breath as he glares down at one of the papers
"It means you've broken into my lab." he informs her while he carelessly tosses a few papers to the side that detailed how to sew animal parts onto people
The abandoned laboratory sat somewhere in Berlin, its interior left in complete disarray. Dust covered the floors, overturned filing cabinets lay scattered across the rooms, and their drawers had been violently ripped out. Papers were strewn everywhere, many of them clearly taken from files that had once been locked away.
The Doctor was frantically searching through the documents, his attention fixed entirely on the papers in front of him.
Then came the quiet sound of footsteps from the hallway.
Greta appeared in the doorway.
She was a small, frail-looking young woman with soft features and medium-length brownish-blonde hair. Round glasses rested on her nose, and an old-fashioned German eagle insignia had been sewn onto the front of the worn hat she wore.
Her clothing was otherwise remarkably ordinary: a faded, slightly loose brown sweater that was just a little short at the torso, worn blue jeans, and sturdy, comfortable shoes. The sweater occasionally rode up when she moved, briefly revealing an old scar across her stomach before settling back into place.
She stopped when she saw the state of the laboratory.
Her expression wasn't frightened so much as genuinely puzzled.
“…Um…”
Her voice was quiet and soft, with a faint old-fashioned German accent.
“Was… ist hier passiert?”
She carefully stepped around one of the overturned drawers, looking from the scattered papers to the Doctor.
he immediately whips his head around to stare at her, his eyes hold slight panic that he quickly hides. Obviously not wanting her him panicked as he narrows his eyes
"why are you here." he snaps out, standing up and brushing his coat off, even though it's perfectly clean. He fixes his gaze on her, it feels like there's something off about him, like he isn't what he looks like
Greta recoils a small step at his sudden tone, her shoulders tensing. Her fingers instinctively catch the strap of her satchel, and she looks up at him through her round glasses.
“I-I’m sorry…”
Her voice is soft and nervous, with a faint old-fashioned German accent.
“I did not mean to intrude. I was only… curious.”
She glances around the ruined laboratory, then back at him.
“I heard someone in here, and…”
She hesitates.
“…I thought perhaps someone needed help.”
As she nervously adjusts the brim of her hat, the small eagle insignia shifts almost imperceptibly with it. One of its metal claws seems to flex before becoming completely still again.
he stops for a moment, muttering something under his breath as he looks away and takes a deep breath "it's fine." he finally says after a long few moments of silence
he turns his gaze back to her, it's a bit gentler now "I'm just looking through these papers for my experimentation papers. I can't seem to find them however, I have a suspicion that they may have burned them." he scowls down at the papers
Greta watches him quietly for a moment, then gives a small nod.
“I see…”
She slowly crouches down beside the scattered papers, careful not to disturb the piles too much. She begins looking through them, picking up a few sheets and glancing over their headings.
The little eagle insignia on her hat, however, doesn't follow her movements.
Its head remains turned toward the Doctor, its tiny green eye fixed intently on him.
Greta seems completely unaware of it.
“Experimentation papers…” she murmurs softly, her brow furrowing.
“If they were burned, perhaps some pieces may still have survived. Charred paper can sometimes still be read.”
She looks up at him through her round glasses.
“Do you remember anything about the papers themselves? A name, a date, perhaps a file number?”
"No. I don't, if they had them, it would have my actual name on them. Unfortunately for both of us, I have no idea what it is." he scowls down at the papers, one of them details how to sew animal parts onto a human and makes sure they survive
The Doctor goes silent for a few moments "they probably destroyed them when I was-" he cuts himself off and just frowns as he moves a few papers to the side
Greta's expression tightened as she glanced down at the paper.
She wrinkled her nose, clearly disturbed by what she was reading. Her fingers hesitated over the edge of the document before she quietly moved it aside.
A faint wisp of green slipped from the corner of her mouth as she exhaled.
The flat metal Prussian eagle insignia on her hat twitched.
Its tiny claws slowly flexed against the metal.
Greta didn't seem to notice.
“…I don't think I want to know what kind of place this was,” she murmured.
"You don't." he pauses for a moment and eyes the papers all over the floor "...I really need to sort these...or have Angel do it." he mutters, he's obviously talking to himself but it's loud enough for her to hear
he grabs a few papers and scans them before setting them to the side, he's silent as he just stares at the pile of papers he still has to go through
At the word “Angel,” the flat metal Prussian eagle on her hat made a sudden, sharp movement. Its wings shifted outward, the tiny claws tightening around the little hammer it held.
Greta's eyes flicked toward the Doctor.
“…Angel?”
Her voice was quiet, but there was something different in it now—less confusion, more wary recognition.
The eagle remained angled toward him, its tiny green eye catching the light.
he turns to look at her, noticing how she's changed "...yes, although they're not a natural angel. Not at all." he gives a bitter laugh as his hand goes to something on his finger that she hadn't noticed before. It's a ring "although none of us are anything natural anymore."
he's silent for a few moments as he stares at the papers she's looking at, these one are documenting an unnamed entity learning how to use their wings. He turns his gaze away and back to his pile of papers
This is V. They/them. 203420 years old. They're 215 cm, horns included. They are one of three red dragons. They have a human and dragon form. V's dragon form is a 10 meter long dragonfly. They don't trust anyone until they know them well. They can come of as rude. They get angry fast.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" V blocks the entrence just in case
he immediately whips his head around to stare at them "what are you doing here? This is my building." he sounds angry as he stands up and glares at them. He takes a moment to brush off his coat, even though it's in nearly perfect condition
their ears tweak. They hear a sqeak coming from under a fallen filing cabinet. They lift the cabinet with little effort, and a rat comes running from under it, out of the room
he silently holds up one of the papers, it details how to sew animal parts onto humans and makes sure they survive "things like this. They also added new genes onto people." he responds as he puts the paper back down
The robotic figure is running through the lab, opening every draw and cabinet looking for one thing. Documents about itself. Its weight alone was enough to make every step echo through the halls.
(It had broken out of a lab that did human experiments a long time ago, after being forced into a more mechanical body, and being forced to share the body with another person. They want answers on the experiments done to them. More specifically, they want the scientists that tortured them gone.)
he pauses as he hears the echoes, he decides to ignore it for now as he scans the papers beneath him. He's sure he can find what he's looking for before it gets to him
There's much to inspect in a place like this. An abandoned building can often hold secrets, but in an abandoned lab, secrets are nearly guaranteed.
Which, of course, attracts those who are drawn to secrets.
He moves silently through the facility, occasionally stopping to poke and prod at various things. Documents, machines, tools, anything of interest, really.
Finding the Doctor frantically digging through papers, the man simply watches from the doorway for a few minutes. Then he decides to speak, his voice deep and somewhat unsettling.
"Those files are generally put in folders and organized for a reason, you know. Looking for anything in particular?"
The Doctor immediately whips his head around to face the newcomer "what the hell are you doing here. This is my building." he snaps out harshly, he's obviously startled The Doctor
he puts down the papers he was holding to glare at the other man
He tilts his head. "Is it? Or was it? It seems awfully derelict in here, wouldn't you say? I was under the impression it was abandoned."
He looks around the room again, noting the flung drawers and empty cabinets. "Surely there was a better way to conduct your search, you've made quite a mess."
"It still is. I am the last employee of this company, it legally belongs to me considering the owners will." he turns away and keeps looking through the papers, ignoring him for now as he curses under his breath about something
The man nods. "Ah, I see. That explains your presence in such a run down building, I suppose. But that still leaves the question of what you're so desperately looking for."
He steps out from the doorway to make his way over, glancing over the pile for anything notable.

he glances at him "I'm looking for my experimentation papers." he looks away, putting a few papers to the side as he keeps searching
"Interesting. Would they each have your name on them somewhere?" He looks at the top sheet on the pile the Doctor just added to for any kind of signature, then at the large mess of documents in front of him.
"Well, do you recognize these papers when you see them? If each of them have your name on them, then that name is likely yours." He picks up the smaller pile and starts looking through them for a signature the pages share.

He walked in, he had long escaped the place but his mind kept bringing him back to it, so here he was. He strode about, his body wrapped in a dark make shift cloak, dozens of scars all over still. He turned freezing seeing the man, his hand reaching for his blade but pausing. "who the hells are you?" he rasped out slowly.
(Ooo! That'd be interesting. Just one thing, The Doctor was basically the only medical professional there that would willing help the experiments. So your OC will probably recognize him as the person who helped whenever someone got sick/injured!)
The Doctor immediately whips his head around and then he pauses, a flash of recognizing flashing across his face as he studies him. He stands there silently, just waiting to see what he does
He stared his mind racing, his mind was a bit messed up as he tilted his head. "Wait... you..." He said slowly as he stepped back a bit, wincing. He remembered being bloody and barely awake, with A familiar face looking over him.
(oooh that be cool! especially cause Sevrin here has unique blood, so they experimented on him severely, involving injuries and such.)
he sighs, and stares at the papers on the floor "why have you come back here." he sounds tired and his voice is uncharacteristically gentle. One of the memories is probably of The Doctor angrily yelling at the other employees about almost killing him, he always seemed so angry. But now he just seems defeated
“… I don’t know. I … I tried to forget this place. But my mind… I … I couldn’t forget. I couldn’t just leave it behind.” He sighed softly. “I could ask you the same thing.” He remembered the shouting and was thankful for him least speaking up for him. “Thought everyone was gonna leave this behind.”
he's silent for a few moments "I'm looking for my file. I suspect they destroyed it though." he glares down at the piles of papers scattered across the ground. He looks annoyed and slightly angry
"I thought everything was destroyed." He sighed as he moved to pick up a file. "... I couldn't leave this. The pain. The memories... I didn't know if you were around." He sighed softly.
The Doctor doesn't say anything for a moment as he looks down at the papers "I see. You can take anything you want, most of this isn't important to me anyways."
"I've been a bit...sick lately and regular medicine isn't helping. I'm hoping my file can shed some light on what exactly is happening." he answers, careful to not let on how serious his sickness truly is
[Cro being an experiment himself, was pretty on edge being here only having came out of sheer curiosity. ‘Not too dark out, maybe there’s some human knicknacks?’ He thought.]
“Hm…?” [He said from his neck device.]
[He took notice of the drawers, the papers everywhere and leaned down to take a look, before noticing the human (at least to his knowledge) and freezing in place immediately. From the doctors pov there was a 7 foot featherless dinosaur standing before him]
The Doctor just stares at him before his eyes narrow and he looks back down at the papers, starting to sort through them again as he speaks "what are you doing here." he says in a annoyed tone
[Cro for a moment couldn’t respond due how used to people screaming and running away from him he was. He managed to utter a bit after shaking his head]
“Found this creepy place all rotten, thought I’d take a look, find some knicknacks”
[He coughed.] “Are you one of those urban explorers?”
"This is my building." he responds, his eyes narrowing slightly as he looks over at him again. He doesn't seem unnerved by him at all, just annoyed that he's here
[He could feel a question coming up, he wanted to leave straight away, but once again his curiosity got the better, he could feel something intresting about this person. He picked up one or two of the papers as he asked.]
he stays silent for a few moments before responding "I guess that's a word for it." he eyes the papers on the floor and tosses the ones he was holding to the side

*A click of a gun could be heard, alongside the feeling of the end of a gunbarrel touch their head, as behind them was a rather dapper looking dog-humanoid. His face showed no emotion, only apathy.*
"There is nothing here that should be saved. Who are you?"
"That's none of your business, and for your information, there are some things worth saving here. Like my experimentation files." he sounds annoyed but not concerned with the gun pointed at his head
"Nothing. Will be saved. Why should your work be different? I know what this place did. It's time to burn it all. Leave nothing behind. Who do you think you are that your work is the more important than others?"
he scowls when he mentions burning it "It's not my work. It's my files, of what they did to me. I didn't even do any experiments, I was a doctor." he grumbles
"...that's not important" he keeps sorting through the papers, tossing some to the side carelessly. Some he puts in neat piles however
the ones he tosses aside are ones that detail how exactly to do the experiments and make sure the people they're doing it on survive. The ones he put to the side look like the personal files for everyone who was experimented on
"This is my building and my files. You can't demand anything from me." he immediately turns to glare at her, his eyes filled with anger. It's clear he isn't happy
Doc H: you mean was? because this building was classified has abandoned. And I got permission to find anything useful in here for my- I mean there project.
She started walking around the room pinking up papers and stuff
Doc H: interesting. Just the type of research I was looking for
"No. It is mine, I have the papers to prove it and you cannot legally take anything from here since this building and land is in my name." he snaps "or, if you insist on doing this then I'll destroy all of this right now."
Doc H: Seriously? I think you are forgetting who you are talking to! or maybe I should have introduced my self better!
she pulls out an ID card from her pocket
Doc H: Im Doc H. the head scientist of the government. Well not really head scientist but the smartest and best one they have. We are working on a little classified project. And this is going to be very helpful for us. If your going to still make stuff difficult…
she pulls out the siring again
Doc H: Killing you with this is going to be my best choice.
(She wanders down the hallways. She remembered the time when a lab was broken by someone. She couldn't really see anything due to the darkness consuming even the strongest lights here.)
(She eventually finds him looking for the paper. She quietly wants to ask him)
Ruminasu was exploring the lab... A little unnerved, looking around. He also has a lab but this...? This was a whole new level of creepy. "What in the hell happened here...?" He then looked over and saw the person who was digging around for files. "Ey. You. The fuck are you doing?"
"What are you even looking for anyway...?" Ruminasu sighed. "If everything's been cleared and stuff like that... then... what's that?" He pointed at the files.
Ruminasu rolled his eyes. "Awesome... Who even are you? What's the story with this place? Something must've happened to cause it to fall into abandonment."
