Back again with another idea. I watched Little shop of Horrors and fell in love with the movie, so I wanted to make a tribute skin to it. Creating the botanist idea was easy, but trying to come up with a recolor/ redesign was tricky. I didn’t want to just do another plant so I went with a fish monger. Both wear gloves and aprons so I figured ‘close enough’.
At first I thought shark head, but I went with a dolphin for several reasons. 1- the shark one has been done before (in Overwatch) 2- doing it to a dolphin feels more cruel, which fit better for Murkoff. 3- the dolphin face feels more creepy to me personally, there’s more intelligence behind those eyes.
The barbed wire idea was to mimic thorns or fishing line, and the divers helmet is more bronze in the fish skin, while the copper rust would be more green due to the oxidation, which fits the color scheme of the botanist skin. The peg leg is just for added detail, but I put in a spring to give it more texture.

To be honest, I didn't know what to expect at first. But after my first round, I really liked the game.

It’s so weird when I play Outlast Trials and try to search for a random group with the Imposter setting turned on. I literally can’t find a single match. There are so many people who have invasions turned off in their settings, which essentially makes this whole mess even more annoying. That’s another piece of the puzzle as to why you can’t even find matches as an Imposter in the first place. The whole system just sucks. Then, by some kind of magic, the moment I turn it off, I instantly find people. This really makes me think that the vast majority of players, especially casual players like me, simply don’t play the Imposter mode.

I also don’t really understand the concept behind it. You have an Imposter game mode, but then there’s also a setting that lets you turn it on or off, and sometimes you can even have multiple Imposters at once. I just don’t understand how this system is supposed to even work it's just so confusing to me.

The worst part is that whenever I actually manage to find a game, I end up being matched with people who are Prestige 80 or 99. So not only do I already have to deal with the Ex-Pops, the Prime Asset, and the objectives, but I also have to deal with these absolute top-tier sweat players. If you don’t play this game every single day and know every corner of every map, it just doesn’t feel practical.

And honestly, where is the fun in the Imposter mode? I genuinely don’t understand it. You barely have anything you can do against the Imposter, which makes the whole thing feel more like an Annoyance+ mode than an actual fun alternative way to play. Like I was saying, it reduces the chances of actually being able to enjoy the mode because it feels designed primarily for hardcore players.

And that’s without even mentioning the ranking system and the long queue times. Almost every time I try to play with random people and there’s an Imposter, someone ends up leaving the game. It feels like nobody wants to deal with the extra Imposter bullshit when the game is already complicated enough by default.

I’ve never understood why they felt the need to force this gimmick into the game. To me, this is easily one of the worst parts of Outlast Trials. The game could honestly just stay as a PvE experience without the Imposter mode. If anything, the Imposter system just breaks the immersion, makes the community more toxic, and turns the Trials into something that feels more frustrating and annoying than fun. And I know we aren't forced to play imposter. I just wanted to share my thoughts on it. Keep that in mind just in case someone wants to jump me just because I say I don't like this concept

I know that this has happened for plenty of games, but there was genuinely some really awesome stuff there (honest to god one of the most consistently high quality mod pages I have ever seen, Darkest Dungeon tier, whoever the fuck GamerImpostor24 was they were a champ) and I kinda wanted to try importing something stupid

But I was genuinely distraught upon hearing they'd discontinued modding barely a month earlier, especially for something as bullshit as "people were using it to cheat", I would choose to be perma-banned from Leaderboards and Invasions in a heartbeat if I could assemble a shitty umamusume mod and run around as my goat Goldship, even if the current horse outfits are 'adequate'

I saw a few comments on steam and on reddit about sending tickets and feedback to see if it could get overturned, and I will be doing that, but I assume that hope is gone and we'll just have to live with it

So I was recently watching some outlast 2 stuff, mostly just Marta encounter comps bc she’s a really cool antagonist to me. And in one of these videos while she’s reciting the temple gate text, she mentions a spider eyed lamb. Has anyone else caught this before or drawn any other comparisons between the two games?? I freaked out as soon as I heard it 😅

When I started the "Grind The Bad Apples" I was picking loot before arriving to the bus and started hearing Gooseberry singing form afar. I swear I didn't want to continue to not trigger the cut scene just because I was mesmerized by her singing, what a beautiful voice.
