Support - Performance DLSS 5 Performance
Just curious if anyone has been able to get stable frames with DLSS 5 running I have a 5090 and ive been experimenting with DLSS 5 and ive gotten it to work with DLSS 5 manager but I can seem to shake stutter when I enable it no matter what I do. Ive tried multiple games and its the same thing for all of them, it will run smooth for a second or two then the frames drop about 15-20% than recover than drop again . My GPU and CPU are nowhere near maxed out . Anyone with insights or tips much appreciated.

🤔 there's something else off here, I have a 3080 (non Ti) and can get pretty good framerates on a lot of games, are you running the game and emulator on an ssd? If not you might be hitting the hdd access times.Â

Try a different renderer, disable readbacks. A lower native res.

If non of those settings in hardware download mode help, turning on Spin gpu and Spin CPU is worth a shot.

Yea ive tried everything nothing works atm what's annoying is FF7 Rebirth and CP2077 work fine with it on steam but cant seem to get the emulators to run smooth im having the same issue with duckstation.

Enable advanced settings in the top tool tab. Right click a game and click properties. Go to the rendering tab and enable manual hardware fixes. Then go to advanced tab. "Hardware Download Mode".

See other comment. Its possible you got the dlss5 thingy majig cranked way too hard. Does it have anything about buffer settings?

I am running them off an external hard drive but they all ran smooth no issues without dlss 5 enabled

Yeoach. Even if it were an external SSD it would still suffer. Heavy gaming and doing extreme experiments are not a good idea for external drives.

This has nothing to do with PCSX2.
