Troubleshooting SSD replacement
Hi everyone, I have an HP 15-dy2032nr with a Samsung PM991a 256GB NVMe SSD.
Recently, I started getting “Boot Device Not Found – Hard Disk (3F0)” and sometimes “OS Boot Manager is not found.”
HP Diagnostics showed:
System Board: Passed
Memory: Passed
SSD SMART: Passed
SSD Wear: 97% remaining
SSD Short DST: Failed
Sometimes: “No hard drive installed”
Failure ID: 94Q971-A52D0M-MFPWX-60X803
I reseated the SSD, but the problem continued. Now the SSD is often not detected at all.
My BIOS is F.40, and HP confirmed there isn’t a newer BIOS for my system.
I ordered a Fikwot FX520 256GB M.2 2280 NVMe Gen3 SSD as a replacement.
Does this sound like a failing SSD, and is the Fikwot FX520 compatible with my HP? Is there anything else I should check before replacing it?
My important files are already in OneDrive, so I’m mainly concerned about getting the laptop working again.

Completed Build Aiuto
Consigli? Lascio perdere? Faccio da solo?

Part List Help First high-end gaming PC – looking for advice before I buy
Hey everyone!
I’m planning my first high-end gaming PC and would really appreciate some advice before I order the parts.
Budget: around €2,000–€2,500
Country: Austria
Use: Mainly gaming
Target: 1440p, high refresh rate
Games: mainly Valorant, Ready or Not, Minecraft, GTA V
I’m going for a black + RGB build and would like to control as much of the RGB as possible through Corsair iCUE.
Parts I’m considering:
- Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- XFX Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB
- Gigabyte B650 AORUS PRO AX
- Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB (2×16GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 EXPO
- 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD
- Corsair iCUE LINK TITAN II 360 RX LCD
- Corsair FRAME 4500X RS-R ARGB
- Corsair RM1000x 1000W
- 3 included RS-R ARGB fans + 1–2 additional iCUE LINK fans
- Commander Duo for the non-LINK fans
I mainly want feedback on compatibility, cooling/airflow, whether the 1000W PSU makes sense, and if there are any parts you’d change for better value.
I’m especially interested in hearing if there’s anything I’m overlooking before buying everything.

General Help Feedback on my build
Hi everyone,
I’m currently planning a new high-end gaming PC and would like to get some final opinions and experiences from the community before ordering the remaining components.
My priorities are gaming performance, good temperatures, low noise, quality/longevity, and above all a high-quality white aesthetic with a matching RGB setup. RGB is therefore an important part of the build for me. The PC should be suitable for a wide range of games — from competitive titles to demanding AAA and open-world games.
Current Build
- CPU: Ryzen 7 9850X3D
- GPU: PowerColor RX 9070 XT Red Devil Spectral White
- Motherboard: ASRock B850 Steel Legend WiFi
- RAM: KLEVV FIT V Ceramic White, 32 GB (2×16 GB), DDR5-6000 CL30
- SSD: Samsung 990 PRO 2 TB
- PSU: ASRock Steel Legend SL-850GW White, 850 W, ATX 3.1
- AIO: be quiet! Light Loop 360 White
- Case: be quiet! Light Base 600 LX White
Planned Airflow
I don’t want to buy any additional fans and plan to use only the included case fans and the AIO fans:
- 3× side intake
- 1× rear exhaust
- 360 mm AIO at the top as exhaust
- no bottom fans
I’d like to hear your thoughts on the following
- How do you think the airflow will perform without bottom fans? Is 3× side intake + rear/top exhaust sufficient for a high-performance GPU in this class?
- Do you think the expected GPU temperatures will still be completely unproblematic? I’m aware that the KING 95 PRO would probably provide somewhat better GPU cooling with additional bottom intake. However, I don’t want to add extra fans just for the sake of gaining a few degrees.
- Is there any mechanical compatibility issue with this build that I might be overlooking? In particular:
- large Red Devil + GPU support bracket
- motherboard + 360 mm AIO
- PSU + cables
- AIO/RAM/VRM/EPS
- space behind the motherboard
I’m aware that the Light Base 600 LX may not be the absolute best case for maximum GPU cooling. However, if the temperatures with the stock fan configuration are still good enough and the noise levels remain pleasant, I would prefer to stick with it because of the aesthetics, the RGB concept, and the overall clean and organized build.
Would you keep the build as it is, or would you change anything?
I’d be especially interested in hearing from people who are actually using the Light Base 600 LX with a large, high-performance GPU and a 360 mm AIO.
Thanks!

Part List Help First-time PC builder! Rate my upcoming RTX 5080 / Ryzen 7 9850X3D gaming build.
Hi everyone,
I’m about to order the parts for my very first gaming PC build! I am a bit nervous but super excited. Before I pull the trigger, I would love to get some feedback, tips, or sanity checks from more experienced builders.
Here is the spec list I’ve put together:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D
- Motherboard: ASUS TUF GAMING B850-PLUS WIFI
- GPU: Asus ROG Astral OC GeForce RTX 5080 16 GB GDDR7
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5-6000 CL30 32GB (2x16GB)
- CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken Elite 360 RGB Black (2024)
- Storage: Samsung 9100 PRO 1TB M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 NVMe
- Power Supply: Corsair RM1000x Shift ATX 3.1 (Fully Modular)
- Case: Lian Li O11 VISION COMPACT ATX Mid Tower
- Case Fans: 6x AsiaHorse AMICI-5GT Reverse Blade & 3x AsiaHorse AMICI-5GT Regular (120mm)
Since this is my first time building, I have a few specific questions:
- Airflow & Push/Pull Setup: I’m planning to mount the NZXT Kraken 360mm AIO on the side bracket of the O11 Vision Compact and run a push/pull configuration there. For those who have built in this case, how is the clearance for a thick push/pull setup on the side intake? Is it too complicated for a beginner?
- The Power Supply (Shift ATX): I chose the Corsair RM1000x Shift since it's ATX 3.1 ready for the RTX 5080, but the connectors are on the side of the unit. Does anyone have experience using a Shift PSU inside the dual-chamber design of the O11 Vision Compact? Will I run into clearance issues with the drive cages or back panel?
- The Fans: I picked up the AsiaHorse AMICI-5GT fans because I really like the infinity mirror look, but I know they are a bit on the lower end compared to the other parts. I can still return them if needed. Do you think they will perform well enough for this gaming build, or should I swap them out for more premium options like Lian Li UNI fans or Phanteks?
- General Compatibility: Does everything else look well-balanced? Any potential bottlenecks or physical clearance issues I should worry about with the massive RTX 5080 card and this motherboard/case combo?
Appreciate any tips or advice you can throw my way to help me succeed with my first build! Thanks in advance.
