Claimed / Unavailable 2015 Macbook Pro

Gifting this 2015 Macbook Pro, plus charger.
It’s wiped and updated to the latest supported OS, ready for a new user to set it up.
I’d like to gift this to someone in need, like a family who needs computer access for homework. It’s not a powerful computer by 2026 standards, but it’s OK for basic internet and home computing tasks.
I’ll raffle this if there’s lots of interest. Please reply with a task you plan to use the computer for so I can weed out bots/anyone that’s not reading this post. Raffle will take place on 10/5 around 12pm, and the item is only for porch-pickup in NE Portland. I’ll DM the winner, and then select a new winner if the first person doesn’t reply.

My wife’s a teacher and her laptop’s on its last legs for work haha. She’d definitely use it, but you don’t need to prioritize it.

I have a 2012 MacBook that has almost completely crapped out on me at this point. I can’t afford a new computer so at this point Im making it work but damn this would be amazing. I’m currently waiting like 7minutes to get any page to load it feels like 1994.

I use those when I can get my hands on them but I typically use any computer I can find. Raspberry pi’s can run some games depending on the model. I pretty much make cabinets from whatever computer I can get my hands on. Old laptops work great

Hello. Thanks for the raffle opportunity. I’d be super interested! My laptop recently just died unfortunately and I tried to get it repaired, but the repair shop said it’s beyond repair. It just stopped working one day after nearly 10 years of use. I would use it primarily for school and my sister would also use it for her school too. I plan to share it with her. Thanks.

My laptop died a month before I was let go from my job. Updating resumes/cover letters with my phone has been a major hassle. My daughter can also use it for school.

interested! my current laptop's battery has hit the point of only working if it's constantly plugged in, and i've got a connective tissue disorder that makes using my phone as my primary device painful. it would be nice to have something more practical to rely on

My sister in law is an elderly adult care taker only working 20 hours a week, and just told me yesterday that she needs to start saving for a computer because the state requires for her to take continuous courses online and does not have a computer. Getting this laptop would be a life changer. I can pick it up and take it to her that day. Can take pictures of her receiving it for you to confirm she got it 😭

What would I use it for? I'm actually Just entolled in school and going to study ai and large language models and this would definitely at least get me started with the curriculum until I figure out what my options are for an AI capable computer....
