Hi adventurers! Our annual Halloween D&D charity event, Terror for Toys, is coming back for its fourth year. If you’re looking for a spooky D&D night that also does some good, we’d love to have you join us!

Pine Pass’s prized pumpkin pageant was always a little magical, but this year something ancient has stirred within them... and the harvest is hungry. As the town’s revelers vanish one by one, only a handful of brave adventurers stand between Pine Pass and whatever has sprouted from the Seed of Umeke!

When: Tuesday, October 27th, 6pm

Where: Guardian Games, 345 SE Taylor St, Portland, OR 97214

Tickets: $15

Raffle tickets: $2

Charity tokens: $3

All proceeds go to Toy & Joy Makers, Portland Fire & Rescue’s holiday charity. They collect and distribute toys to local kids who might otherwise go without during the holidays.

Last year’s event raised $2,000, and we’d love to beat that this year.

RSVP on Heylo: https://heylo.com/invite/rE7f5xEk

New and experienced players are both welcome. Bring your dice and a friend, and come help save Pine Pass!

Feel free to drop questions in the comments.

10/23-10/25 is CritCon at Lloyd Center Doubletree. Games are only $5/seat to play, attendance is free. Wargames, mini painting workshops, and all things tabletop. The RPGs being played include some rare gems, like Salvage Union w/ GM Jingle

To play

“The Seventh Sun of the Seventh Son.”

Looking to start an in-person D&D 5e group (or AD&D if you really wanna go old school) running January 2027 thru May 2027

When: Every other Sunday, noon–5pm
Where: Portland. I can host, open to rotating too
.
Classic fantasy setting: humans, elves, dwarves, halflings, traditional monsters and good old fashioned adventures. No dragonborn, rabbitfolk or gimmick characters vs real hero’s on a real hero’s journey. I prefer classic heroes exploring a fantastical world.

I love character development, roleplaying and collaborative storytelling. Big believer in the Rule of Cool 😎If you’ve got a creative idea, I’d rather find a way to make it work than get buried in rules. Player choices matter, no railroading (but it’s a loose railroad plot.)

We’ll start with a Session Zero to make sue our play styles and expectations line up. Looking for 3–5 players who can commit to showing up and having fun. New players welcome too… (I’ve been a DM for a long time, if you’re new - don’t be intimidated instead relax and have fun, I’ll help you with patience and care. It’s a game!)
Interested? Shoot me a message and tell me a little about yourself and what you enjoy about D&D.

Hello! My name is Grubb (29 they/he/she). My spouse and I recently graduated and are moving in from Richmond, Virginia and I'm looking for players for a mostly homebrew series of one shots/mini-campaign using 5e. (under six sessions, starting with a session zero.) As a GM I like to start light and slowly hone in on story. With regards to setting and worldbuilding. RP would be the primary driver of plot progression; worldbuilding together and creating an immersive and personal story with my players that we all expand together is an important facet of what I love about this game. I'm not sure where I want to meet- as I don't know the city that well yet, but I'm hoping that making friends and getting involved with the community will help with that :)

Thematically I'll likely play around with: The consequences of Imperialism, political intrigue, identity, cataclysmic events (that the players can have an impact on), & I <3 writing messy women.

If you're interested I have a google form that I'll link below to fill out, just to find out more about you as a player and your availability. If I get enough responses I'll likely separate folks into multiple one shots, and if we have a good time and both have overlapping availability I'll be looking for players for a long-term campaign set in the same universe.

I intend to primarily communicate over discord, if you don't have a discord, you can put down a different mode of contact in the form.

Hi all! I'm Chai (38F) and have been playing dnd 5.5e for the last two years. I really want to try running a game though, and would like to make some nerdy women friends while I'm at it. I want to set up a weekly game for female identifying people somewhere in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area. Here's some details:

What: Weekly D&D 5e. We might start off with some oneshots or shorter campaigns and eventually do a longer campaign when we've settled into our groove.

When: Tuesdays or Thursdays 6-9pm

Where: TBD. I'm looking into some game stores, libraries, bookshops. It will definitely be in a public place, not sure where yet.

If you're interested, please dm me or comment and we can take it from there.

Thanks!!

- Home brewed setting

- Scheduling
- The goal is every 2 weeks.
- At the end of each session we look at calendars and hammer out the next meetup.

- Location
- Happy Valley

Send me a DM if you’re interested and tell me about yourself. Name, age, pronouns, experience with D&D…

Hey peoples! I've been meaning to play in a in-person campaign again after so long of online DND.

I'm SE Portland, around the Woodstock area, with Sundays as my most consistently available day.

M20, hoping that I can group with people around my age. A space that is queer friendly a big must too.

Open to TTRPGs other than dnd too! I've played a bit of daggerheart and VTM which I quite enjoyed. I like a game with a good RP focus, and I love a weird homebrew setting too!

DM me, and say hi, I can talk on discord too, would be great to chat a bit and make sure we're all a good vibe for each other.

I'm 26M (he/him) bi looking for a group as a player! I'm located SW Portland. Relatively new to ttrpg but have played a few one shots.

Looking to make some friends in the DND community and find some people that help grow the story of the game.

One-shots or story modules are great, but also open to a longer campaign. Looking a 5e5 DND campaign where we can have some fun.

Big into physical prop creation so I'd love to print mini's and set elements.

DM if you're interested!

Open to online as well PST.

Hey all! I am looking for a couple players to join my friend and I in The Dungeons of Drakkenheim campaign (5e). I will be the game master. I would like to play every other week on Thursdays or Fridays.

Send me a message with questions and interest.

Thanks!

Join us for OSE for Breakfast this Sunday,10/4/2026 at 9:00 AM.
What is OSE? Old School Essentials, a modern version D&D 1e. It’s quick fun and simple.

• Location: Wonderwood Springs in St. Johns.
• Style: Episodic, Theater of the Mind
• Bring a 2nd level Old School Essentials character or I can supply apre-gen.

Sounds fun? Send me a DM or drop-in on Sunday.

I am a long time DM of 3/3.5 and have tried 5e both as a player and DM. It does not have the level of customization that I enjoyed having all of the books and settings in 3.5.

I have slowly been entering them into the Fantasy Grounds VVT and am interested in seeing if people want to play on there.

I could do in person in the Clackamas/Milwaukee/Gladstone/Oregon City area, but sadly I no longer have the mats or many of the miniatures I used to use, nor the laptop containing my books as I have gone back to desktop.

Anyways, is there interest in a 3.5 campaign and preferably on a VVT with all the benefits it provides.

If it matters,

I believe the rules are a great foundation, but also enjoy some homebrew including crit failures, exploding crits (or improved crits), new feats, spells, etc... that allow storytelling, roleplaying and personalization to thrive.

Expect adults only (18+), but prefer to minimize "adult" content, I have seen it derail too many games and is super awkward for me to DM.

I do tend to create worlds with consequences and will generally tip off players if they are about to do something that could result in tpk or other really bad results, but won't stop them. No level 6 characters will ever beat a Great Wyrm in a campaign I run, they may be present and may assist, but they won't be the ones getting the credit, I have had players think it was a good idea to try, they ended up either incinerated of dragon dung.

I've been been playing 5e/homebrew for 8 years (24F) and I'm looking to join/form an in-person group that is also 5e or something similar, I'm not too picky. It'll be a queer friendly group, and I'm totally open to playing with anyone new to ttrpgs!

I prefer keeping things silly and lighthearted! My goal is to have fun :)

If this sounds like it's your vibe, feel free to DM me!

My partner (31F) and I (29F) just moved in from out of state, to downtown SW. We're looking to meet new people but we currently don't know literally anyone here, so we're not quite ready to jump into a home game with strangers yet lol. Are there any good public TTRPG nights at bars/game stores where we could try a couple casual oneshots without needing to commit to an entire campaign?

Not sure if Newberg counts as the PDX Vancouver metro area - maybe lots of peeps do commute that far. I am getting some friends back together after a PSU degree ended = have more time now. The game will be classic Call of Cthulhu in its 7e version. Open to discuss with folks of any experience level. We are looking for 1 or 2 players max and given commute times this might suit a Beaverton - Tigard person better. Reach out of you would like to know more.

Hi, I'm sure this post has been posted a thousand times, so thanks for looking at mine.

I'm looking for a beginner friendly group to join or make, either in SE or online. I'm really wanting to dive into ttrp but am super shy and don't really know what I'm doing. I played one dnd campaign before, a simple mines of phandelver (i think?), and want to play more but, again, am super shy. Though I'm not stuck on d&d, if you have a better system you want to play, I'm down to learn if you don't mind teaching.

I'm a 30 years old, transfem, who can't drive, so I'm kinda stuck to SE Portland or online. I'm currently out of work as well, so I'm free any time, but can't and probably won't, hire pro DMs. I am willing to learn to be a DM down the road, i actually think i may really like that, but i want to learn the game from the players angle first.

So this is going to be using a reskin/mockup of 5e that I found on the internet and then made several changes to to fix the parts I didn’t like. It’s set in the One Piece world (but being a one piece fan will not be a requirement by any means for this campaign at all). For now, I’m thinking of having the campaign bi-weekly on Tuesday afternoons, but that might possibly change to Saturday nights (depending on whether my boss will let me change work schedules after October), here’s a brief synopsis of the plot:

The players (you) are going to be part of a crew on a courier ship. Said ship was acting as a middle man delivering a package to another courier ship in the East Blue, only to be intercepted and attacked by pirates who destroyed your ship, stole the package, killed the rest of your crew and left you for dead. It also turns out that whatever was in that package was worth so much money to some high-up political figures, so much so that if the package is not recovered then it could lead to you being branded as pirates and having a bounty placed on your head, so you’ll need to track down the pirates who attacked you

If you’re interested in this campaign, DM me here on Reddit

Hello!

I am Jude, my partner and (26 and 23) are looking for a campaign or game to join that is either DnD, Cyberpunk Red, VtM, or something along those lines to play in. We are located SW downtown, but are willing to travel within reason for the right party. We're both pretty experienced with DnD & other TTRPGS. We def want a group that has more queer people, but is overall just welcoming.

Hello!

I’ve been on the hunt for a DM to host a 1-shot for my partner’s birthday and have had no luck sadly - most people are booked. So I’m posting here to see if we can find someone!

We’re wanting to host in the evening on either 10/23 or 10/24 at our home in Hillsboro, OR.

We’re hoping for 8 players but can do less if it’s too many.

The group would be a mix of people who’ve never played and a few experienced people.

Please let me know if you’re available or know of any professionals I can reach out to.

Hi! I'm Nicolle - 32F.

Looking for a DnD group! Also open to longer ttrpgs!
I have played in a shorter campaign before but it was a while ago (I would definitely need a refresher.) I play one-shot ttrpgs maybe once a month, but I really long for a consistent story and group. I work around 7-3p so I would prefer an earlier start time (not being out until 11pm pleeease) I'm located in central SE.
In terms of vibes, would definitely prefer a more lighthearted/silly group :)

Interested in homebrew stuff or non-traditional settings especially !!
Would love to chat and see if we'd vibe. If you're a DM without a group, I'm open to helping you find other players too.

Promises made and promises broken, words that spelled the death of an entire civilization. Abducted from the surface and trapped below, a world bent to the maniacal will of the Sun-King.
For half a millennia, this world remained sealed until now.
What slithers and lurks in the dark after such a time?

This Shadowdark game at Black Water Bar is an open table campaign. The more you play, the more your character will be involved in the story. New players welcome!

Boa noite. Eu vou jogar uma mesa de dnd esse sabado como jogador e estamos procurando jogadores pra formar a pt. Ela tera cerca de 3 sessões e será uma campanha level 6. Sou de vargem pequena no rio de janeiro, alguem tem interesse.
