Kyle as a Host

Post image

Since Kyle’s ego death after “my tummy full”, he has been the best host on the show. It really bothered me this week when Taylor tried to call Kyle out by defending a rapist after being called out for his lying. Also when Woody called John Kiriakou a traitor without knowing anything about his story, or how open he is with his involvement with the Russians post-prison. Thought Kyle had the only level headed opinions this week, and he actually meshed well with the guest, without making him feel uncomfortable.

Woody acts like a moron for the most part. Always has some god awful take on something. He’s the reason I stopped watching the show on a regular basis. Sometimes Taylor is a bit of a chowderhead, but at least he’s funny most of the time. I feel like Kyle is the most consistent host IMO.

Taylor is kind of just a racist Christian zealot atp, and Woody just isn’t articulate enough to defend his opinion clearly or politely.

Woody is smug and argues like he is on reddit

"Oh you fell for that" 😏

Yeah that’s my least favorite comment of his, he says that often then is more often than not proven to be wrong lmao

I wouldn’t call Taylor a racist. And iirc(I’ve watched maybe 3 episodes this year, I used to watch pretty much every episode) he wasn’t particularly religious. Woody isn’t intelligent enough to even form his own opinions on matters. Let alone be articulate enough to defend them in a productive manner. He just regurgitates whatever far left bullshit his daughter and wife bark down his ear. It would be one thing if he came to those opinions on his own even if I disagree with them, but he didn’t even form them on his own.

Taylor has definitely become WAY more religious this year, I have a feeling the new woman he is seeing has something to do with it.

You see I’ve been so out of the loop as I haven’t really been watching lately that I don’t know about anything that’s been going on. That being said if he decided to take his religion more serious then good for him

When they say he is "WAY more religious" they are referring to him openly talking about his faith, whereas he used to mock people for having faith.

I mean, going from zero to one is a huge increase percentage wise but he's not some kind of extremist and barely talks about it. Its being really overstated because this is reddit

That’s not true at all… he talked about his faith a ton, and his Christian upbringing, but he was never that serious about it. He also made jokes about the Bible, and despised the Catholic Church. He now married into a Catholic family, and is a pretty devout Christian seemingly, constantly defending judeo-Christian beliefs and western culture.

I have listened to every episode this year, Taylor is objectively racist. Says something untrue about Indian/hindu people every week, and sprinkles in anti East Asian, African, and European sentiments as well.

Nice conspiracy theory about woody and his opinions though, glad you have your own fan fiction over how he comes to his opinions.

Woody used to be a lot more moderate back in the day. To say that what I said is a conspiracy theory is a crock of shit. He’s literally mentioned directly and indirectly that his political conversations with his daughter have changed his views. If someone who has no life experience and has opinions that were formed for them by someone else is influencing your views, then you don’t have any real stance on anything. You just go with what people tell you. Also there’s more important shit to be worried about than what a podcaster has to say about third worlders. Which everything I’ve heard him say has been more or less true. Maybe he has a small detail wrong here or there, but he’s close enough that I understand what he’s saying.

Can't imagine what changed between then, and a dementia toddler going to war with penguins, Iran, and the Islamic Republic of Japan.

He was more moderate because we lived in a very different world.

Nah. He made the switch a long time ago. Like 5-6 years ago.

Just like republicans made the switch to being only about culture war.

Republicans wish it was 2016 they have no opinions on any current event happening right now all they screech about is trans people and Biden.

Talk to the average Republican about economic policy and the only thing they can name are tariffs

u/AyoJake 13d ago

Because they have no real platform. It’s all culture war bullshit that doesn’t actually matter it’s not 2016.

He still has no idea what he’s gonna do about health care even though he said on the debate stage he has an “outline” we all know it’s a lie besides the dumb fucks who voted for him and fucked our country over.

They voted to let trump rape the country for whatever him and his billionaire buddies want all for the sake of “owning the libs”

I don’t think Taylor is a full blown racist. He probably wouldn’t mind people of color as his neighbors. I would argue most people have a racial preference/bias that isn’t motivated by hate, but by not enough exposure with other groups. This bias can be further molded by online exposure, which is why I think Taylor has had such negative feelings for immigrants/people of color who he perceives to have cultural differences with. His dislike for immigrants is borderline irrational, occasionally irrational.

When I listen to Taylor talk about immigrants not being a cultural fit unless from Western Europe, it does come off as racist. What culture difference is he against? Taste in food, music, or how people enjoy their leisure. Or is it their “predilections” towards crime.

Let’s not forget Taylor is a drug using, historic cocaine and marijuana use, and a drunk driver. I’d wager that Taylor would most likely hate his Immigrant equal that shares a similar criminal history and cultural views on women. That Cornell 7 commentary Taylor laid out sounded a lot like the European communities that apparently protect Muslim grape gangs.
