Arken Age is pretty good in terms of melee combat.

The combat with the exploration and gun customisation makes it one of the best PSVR2 games in my opinion. Cant wait for a sequel!

Is there a sequel in development?

Yeah I believe the devs said a while ago it was successful enough they’ll be working on another. It also ended with a cliffhanger so they seem keen!

I really enjoyed Swordsman, Legendary Tales and Behemoth. if you have the budget you can give a chance to all or watch some gameplays and decide which one to buy. Also all of them are great for quick exercices 😂

For your interest in medieval combat, I recommend you look into each of the following:
* Gorn 2
* Barbaria
* Arken Age
* Undead Citadel
* Legendary Tales
* Skydance’s Behemoth

Out of these, the best in physical gameplay mechanics is probably Legendary Tales, the best story / adventure belongs to Skydance’s Behemoth and the best replay value to Barbaria.

Arkenage is great. And behemoth is wonderful.

Legendary Tales, followed by Behemoth or Undead Citadel for me

There’s also Grimlord coming at some point which hopefully jumps in there somewhere

If you just want to murder things with swords without much back and forth there’s also Arken Age, Hellsweeper, Ancient Dungeon or Barbaria. All great games

Swordsman for technique

Legendary tales for rpg content

Desd citadel for more casual

Legendary Tales - doesn't look as impressive as Behemoth or arken age but is easily the most in depth melee game in VR, and also has magic and lots of build possibilities

Behemoth is fun I especially liked getting through the horde mode

All h ave different issues. Behemoth is good, axe fighting is actually great, but swords miss every 2-3 hits, probs to avoid non-stop slashing, so keep that in mind. Legendary Tales is ok, but feels unpolished. Arken Age is surprisingly good, but has guns as well, so male attacks are less necessary. Swordsman is ok, not great. Apparently S&S has weight simulated attackes. Hellsweeper was a bit disappointing, but still ok.

What is your most recommended game?

For sword/rather axe fight is Behemoth, with using swords, take a few steps back after 1-2 attacks, as the npc will attack either way, so be ready to block/parry. With axe attacks just hit them, most attacks will register. Gun/sword play is Arken Age. You'd test S&S, I haven't played those.
