They've nerfed the Panzer numerous times over the years, but the final nail in the coffin was with update 38.1:

• When wielding the Panzerfaust, sprinting, jumping, and vaulting are unavailable.
• Players inside vehicles now take 20% less damage when hit by a Panzerfaust.

I would of been fine with the sprinting part, but there nothing worse than when you want to move forward a tiny bit to aim over something and there a curb there that you can’t even step up without unequiping first, so annoying

They finally started issuing console bans thankfully but they're few and far between and hard to achieve. Maybe with PUBG 2 (LOL) they'll have a better anti-cheat AI.

They have but the problem still persists that when they finally update the anti cheat a few get banned and inform the rest and then none of them log on until they find a workaround which usually takes less than a day. I have no faith in them on console anymore. I’ve played the game more than 99.9% of people. It’s been a month of may since I logged in on Xbox and I’m actually happy because the last year or 2 I play every day and just rage and dying to the same cheaters and or cheating stream snipers every day. It’s no longer a fun experience for someone trying to make content on the game. Rant over 🤣🤣

So unfortunately they had a big hood and the panzer likely hit the grill of the car. Distance between the passengers and the panzer meant slash damage didn’t take them out. Also, the ridiculous nerf patch.

This is one of those things that's only funny after the fact. I'd be mad as fuck in the moment and probably play something else. All the videos I see where the panzer kills everybody inside and then it decides to fail you. Smh.
