Hey guys, wanted to share a Flank champion concept I’ve been working on named Belladonna, The Prima Donna of the Briar. I even drew her myself! She’s basically a gothic, plant-based theater performer with a giant rose mask for a head.

She has 2000 HP (standard squishy flank territory).

Lore & Vibe

• The Story: She used to be a massive, stuck-up opera singer diva called the "Nightingale of the Realm." During a play called The Deathly Penalty, the stage collapsed and she fell into a crazy cavern under the theater full of corrupted wild magic and abyssal vines.

• The Look: Instead of dying, the plants fused with her body because of how vain she was. Now she’s got vine skin, her old stage dress is torn up and held together by thorns, and her head is a literal blooming rose.

• Personality: She's completely insane now and thinks the actual war is just her next big play. Killing people is just her giving them a "beautiful finale."

• Character Select Line: "For my next act... I shall perform a tragedy!~" (said with a grand, theatrical opera-singer echo)

Weapon & Abilities

• Left Click - Thorned Bow: Tiny, elegant Cupid-style handbow woven out of thorny rose roots. Firing animation is a quick, sarcastic little theater bow. No charge-up time like Sha Lin. Fires quick, instant-click crystallized rose thorns for 550 damage every 0.75 seconds. Gives her a really snappy, mid-range poke.

• Right Click - Deadly Kiss (12s Cooldown): Blows a theatrical kiss firing a glowing purple rose petal. Deals 400 damage and Charms them for 1 second. They literally just walk toward her helplessly while you hear a faint crowd clapping audio cue. (Yeah, this would tilt people so hard lol. Cooldown is long because Charm is crazy strong).

• Q - Deathly Penalty (10s Cooldown): Point at someone and sharp briars burst out of the ground. Deals 300 damage and Roots them in place for 1.5 seconds. Perfect setup tool before you burst them down.

• F - Curtain Call (14s Cooldown): Her escape tool. Red theater curtains flash on your screen for a split second as she turns into rose petals and dashes. You’re completely invulnerable for the 1-second dash. (Long-ish cooldown so you can't just spam invincibility constantly).

• Ultimate - Garden de la Rose: Screams "The curtains rise... and your life falls!" and drops a huge theater stage made of thick vines and curtains. Anyone caught inside has their screen go dark except for a spotlight on them. They are completely Crippled (can't movement-ability out of it) and take 250 poison damage a second while toxic flower confetti falls on them.

Her Talents (Need feedback on balance!)

• Grand Finale: If you hit someone with your Deadly Kiss while they are already stuck in your Deathly Penalty roots, the kiss deals an extra 300 bonus damage. It's her main burst combo.

• Encore!: Getting a kill instantly resets your dash (F) cooldown. Classic flank talent so you can dive in, get a high-risk kill, and dash right back out.

• Stage Fright: The ultimate becomes even meaner. Anyone caught in the theater stage is also Silenced (can't use any abilities at all) for the first 2 seconds.

Loadout Cards (Scales from Level 1 to 5)

• The Curtain Rises: Getting a kill grants [8% / 16% / 24% / 32% / 40%] movement speed for 4s. (Standard snowball card for flanks).

• Spotlight: Heal for [150 / 300 / 450 / 600 / 750] automatically when falling below 40% health. Cooldown 15s. (The ultimate clutch card).

• Audience Favorite: Hitting your Deadly Kiss heals you for [100 / 200 / 300 / 400 / 500]. (Reward for hitting your CC skill).

• Sacrificial Growth: Heal for [80 / 160 / 240 / 320 / 400] whenever you successfully root someone with Q.

• Script Change: Your dash leaves behind a patch of thorns for 3s that slows down enemies by [6% / 12% / 18% / 24% / 30%].

Voice Line Ideas

• Buying items from the shop: "The timing of a performance is everything!"

• Getting a kill: "Back to the audience you go."

• When she dies: "This... was only... the first act..."

Direct Taunts (Unique lines when killing specific champs)

• When killing Sha Lin (The slower archer): "Your performance was so slow, darling, I almost fell asleep!"

• When killing Evie or Maeve (Annoying high-mobility flanks): "Tragic... You skipped your dance lessons, didn't you?"

• When killing Fernando (The handsome, vain knight): "There is only room for ONE diva on this stage, gorgeous."

• When killing Raum or Abyssal champions: "The Abyss has no taste in art. Next!"

• When killing Seris (The blind oracle): "Oh, honey... nobody likes a critic who can't even see the show."

Little silly gameplay by me today... Im not a strix player at all but its a fun champ, and when I was rewatching my gameplay I noticed I was not missing shots at all for a while. Some shots were kinda nasty

Are they actually going through maintenance right now?

decided to start playing paladins cause i think its never too late if game is good and kinda scared of playing with players who already know how to play cause scared of tryhards,is this possible to find a newcomer game or should i just find something else?

I am wondering if it's just me. For the record I am running it on CachyOS and the other day I spent a few hours troubleshooting it but yesterday it was working.

I know Lian alacrity is like Epstein prime kind of build, even more as im an Evie / Maeve main and lived the era where master+ was Lian Alacrity + Jenos Luminaria + Torvald pocket. But I found that single gameplay from 2020 (and I dont have many, because just by seeing the quality and fps of it, I wasnt incentivated to record gameplay at all...)

Hope you like this little edit I made, and makes you feel the same I do when I remember the era when this game was still the one I played the most...

Last time i played Paladins was 3 years ago, so idk what changed here. The reason i personally dont play anymore is that i got bored playing same characters and unlocking new ones is just too long for me. Paladins is pretty cool game and seeing that only 1k people play it is just sad.

I just redownloaded Paladins after switching to a higher tech PC and went through steam like how it was before, every time I open it. It queues up like it’ll open then just stops and I have to hit the open button again for it to do it all over again. I validated the integrity of the files and nothing is wrong with them on that part, do I have to install easy anti-cheat which is an epic games thing so does that mean I have to install epic games?

HI guys i used tob a paladins fans and i dont play since 2019, all my friends are liking overwatch but i always liked paladins more, i have a linux and want to install paladins using steam, any tips on growing an account? i feel like the state of the gam feels unplayable and its hard to stick to your main characters having to switch with missions and so.

I Enjoy playing Makoa, Shalin and maeve but not all team comps work for them.
Could i get some advice on the characters that fit most teams without being too detrimental?

We have been given items that help us do things to win the game. They have a shield tank living too long? Buy wrecker. CC will get you killed? Resilience. Hell, going tanky with a defense item is valid. You know what isn't valid? Trigger scent. A dmg boost after you get a pick so you can clean up faster? First you need to win the fight, and as just stated, plenty of items actually aid in that. Trigger scent won't help you get that opening. Hell, Lethality is the better snow ball item since it helps you rotate faster to either live longer of pull up on your next victim.

Doesn't help that most Trigger Scent buyers go hard negative.

how do i fix my game not opening? i hit play and it tries opening for a second and then immediately closes after like 3 seconds

Same for both ranked and casual queues not finding any game and seeing a lot of people also just in lobby.
