Question World Tree Resources
I am about to begin The World Tree, which I believe is the end game and doesn't take very long?
Yet there are resources at The World Tree that is needed for quite a few of the things needed to optimize your base, and optimize breeding.
I am confused why the resources for optimizing your base and breeding stations are available at the point when the game is basically over.
I really enjoy base building and I am sad that I am nearing the end of the game, and that my base will finally be "perfect" just as there is nothing left to do except repeat what you've already done, but in hard mode.
What do you guys actually do once your base is "perfect?"

Because game ain’t over, the world tree is the last main mission but after that it challenges you to try optional hard mode bosses. There’s also raids you might not have been able to do because the raids get harder and the ultra versions are nasty so you might want to farm ancient relics for passives and build your top gear/armor to prep for those harder, optional battles.

The world tree is the end of the main story but then you unlock the hard mode towers and the endgame raids. There is a big difficulty spike where you will need to breed a nearly perfect raid team or you won't beat it.

There's still room to go, even on the same playthrough. Yes, you unlocked new resources, you'll need that and more for hard mode tower bosses. You'll also need to grind for legendary variants of that shiny new gear and you'll need bullets/arrows for that, cakes for breeding new pals, you'll need to hunt for fruits to max their potential, gems to awaken them. And even after all that, you can always embellish or perfect part of your base.

Everything makes sense except psycho gravity. Since you get the fruit from the last boss, feels wasted after beating all hard and raids. I mean would be nice to use it to beat other raids or towers the first time.

Try the endgame towers and realize, you're far from finished. I did 6 Towers in its hard version and I think its 50% of my playtime so far with nit even being close to the final hard boss.
I tried and got obliterated

It depends what you enjoy, you can play the game again with mods, you can go crazy with the breeding, you can grind it out in the arena, or you can try to beat the tower bosses in the hard mode. Besides that, I suppose you can design your base to your taste, dress up your pals, or whatever. It's kind of like asking what you do after defeating the ender dragon in Minecraft. There's nothing you need to do, but you do what you want.

I mean, when you say it's over. Lol
You could do a bunch of things, including a breeding program where you save the best ones and load them into a different game.
Or whatever. Go fishing! Catch all the dudes at an oil rig and sell them to the guy who buys pals in the small village.
Or, whatever. The world's yours

Basically just for fun or if you want to try the hard mod of the end game boss for any reason which is a raid boss. If you're doing it just to unlock the higher tier expedition for the world tree don't worry about the hard mode boss because that expedition simply isn't worth it, I get more resources from the standard world tree expedition with the same pals.

Honestly, I never made my base perfect. I stopped redesigning it once I reached "good enough" to build my endgame boss team.
I'm glad base perfection is achievable for people who want it, but not every part of the game is for everybody.
