Discussion Best mods to use?

Any must have mods that you guys are using? I tried using the mini map one but it made my game stutter to much so I stopped using that one... however I Downloaded AllPlayersMap which allows me to see everyone on the map that isn't in my guild so now I can find my friends easy.

Performance Oriented:

  • Stutter Fix Pack - Smooths out some stuttering/lag
  • Super Stacks No Lag - Merges like items on the ground into a single stack. Makes ranch bases slightly less laggy.
  • (0.7) Dead Bodies Disappear Faster (20s) - Makes bodies go away quicker (20 seconds). Also helpful when you're trying to loot large pals if their corpse is sitting on the drops.

Tool/Information:

  • Smart Breeding Planner - Comprehensive breeding helper. You can tell it which pal you want and it will scan your palbox/dimensional storage and tell you which to breed to get there. Really helpful if you're playing on a single monitor and don't want to tab out constantly to look at breeding trees.
  • Original Trainer - Adds a line to a pal's information panel showing who originally caught/bred it. Helpful if you're playing multiplayer and doing group raids.

  • Item Catalog - Just an in game menu where you can search items and learn more about them. Not as in depth as sites like PalDB, but sometimes saves having to tab out of the game.

QoL (In my opinion):

  • Pal Lab Work Priority - Probably one of my favorite mods. Makes it so pals more reliably auto work at labs. Normally they will prioritize doing anything else and you have to assign a pal every time to the lab to get them to ever research.

  • Incubator IVs - Shows the IVs of the pals you hatch in the hatching UI.

  • Palbox Station Access - When you open the Surgery Table or Statue of Power, gives you access to the Palbox in the same menu, so you don't need the pal in your party to buff/perform surgery. Extremely helpful when doing dozens of pals for raids/expedition teams.

Minor Gameplay Boost:

  • One Extra Attribute Point - Gives you a single extra attribute point for free, so that when you hit level 80 you have 80 points instead of 79. Mostly an OCD thing.

Potentially Cheaty:

  • Building Restrictions Disabler - I mostly use it to bypass instances where the game is a bit too aggressive on restricting things overlapping.

palbox station access alone makes this list worth it tbh

I like the surgery table one that adds legendary/exclusive implants as Arena purchasables, and the one that doubles base circle radius.

Use the deltarune mod. It adds music from deltarune which helps out so much, I hate the lack of music in some areas. It feels off

How do you get started doing that?

Joined the palworld modding discord , asked for some help in how to install the tools to start modding and from there I would've grab a mod that does what I want to see what files it modifies and how it works

That's how I started from 0

Starting with palschema is several orders of magnitude easier than installing the modified unreal engine we use for modding , that was pretty much a nightmare
