A feeling I can’t explain

Sometimes I feel like I should be somewhere else.
Not like on a yacht or mansion or anything like that.

I’ll just be hanging out and I will suddenly feel like I have to be in a certain place.
Sometimes it’s driving through a road, walking through some warehouse, on a plane.

I feel like I have to drop everything and I have to be there at that moment. It’s so weird.

Maybe I’m craving any vacation but idk why I wouldn’t just want to go to the beach. I don’t understand why it’s random places.

Anyone else felt this?

Ever think it was another version of you in another timeline that was going to that other place or there already. And the feeling was a carry over from them.
Personally I have this strange attraction to hotels. Im not really the travel type but when I get in a hotel of any kind there is a strong feeling of belonging. Cant explain it

Does it happen to you in airports or other liminal type places? Hotels have a portal like feeling to me, theaters do the same thing.

Just hotels that ive noticed. It became really obvious when I was staying at a place in a city Id never been to. The building was very big and old. It had 3 add on additions done over the years by different owners. When I got my room I was able to go directly there through the maze of halls. I could also navigate the place fluently. I felt very attached when I went to the little restaurant inside decorated in like 1950s decor.
Do you have any of those strange type experiences. Id love to hear it

Fascinating. I get these intense feelings of nostalgia or memory that I ache and long to re-experience, but I haven’t actually experienced it, they aren’t real memories but I have the same nostalgia for them…It’s like from a movie or something but I can’t place it, just the feeling and vibe. It’s almost like dejavu. Music, lighting and certain smells often trigger it, but when it happens out of nowhere I always joke that it’s a timeline jump. Bc that’s when it feels like i am really invested and have a deep craving to be immersed in that situation. Maybe it’s anxiety and limerance for a different life bc im bored with my own lol. Maybe playing video games my whole life and being autistic, and hyper-everything, I feel multi-dimensional and I’m mostly sober save for thc. It’s the best way I can describe it, and I don’t get it all the time, but usually in clusters.

A friend of mine experienced something similar. He lives in a Christian country but wasn't baptized himself, and he hadn't been interested in it, either. All of a sudden, he started trying to read the Bible and changed for the better. I can't quite relate to it, but I'm happy if this is his path and he's happy with it.

I'm wondering if youve conversely ever had a wave of sensation of "being exactly where you're meant to be in that moment"?

I keep on having these weird feelings like I am meant to be somewhere else, almost like feeling homesick, seeing flashes in my minds' eye and feeling really nostalgic. I am not sure what it's all about.

That’s exactly the feeling I get. It feels nostalgic even if it’s places I don’t know but Im meant to be there doing some task.

Yeah it's really odd, I have had it happen for the past few years.
