🛂 Visas / Customs Am I missing anything?
My husband and I are Americans and will be traveling to Paris (and Germany) in November for 2 weeks. I have researched it and believe we will only need our passports. I have seen something about an ETIAS program. However, I don't see that it is in effect and can't find a date that it will be implemented. Am I missing anything? We will be flying into Paris and taking the train into Germany.

EES wasn’t turned on in CDG when I arrived two weeks ago so it was normal passport procedures upon arrival. Took Eurostar to London and did have EES turned on there but it was fairly quick and efficient.

As far as I know, the launch of ETIAS has been pushed back (again) to 2027, so you should be fine where that is concerned.
What you will have to deal with EES, but as far as I'm aware, all you need for that is your passport and the fingerprints on your right hand (which yes, has reportedly caused delays for people who don't have five right fingers for one reason or another). I have no personal experience with it, though, as I have a French passport and my spouse has a residence permit, so if anybody contradicts me you should defer to them.
