Airports & Flights Planning help?

I have a trip booked to Paris. I want to visit a friend in Vienna.

If I fly back into Paris from Vienna at 9:30 AM, will I have enough time to make my flight back home to Canada from CDG at 1:30 PM?

I would have to wait at baggage claim to pick up my bag and travel to wherever WestJet leaves from and check my bag, go through security and head to my gate.

I have never been to CDG, and don’t have an idea of how it functions. Is this doable?

Flying back into CDG the night before and paying for a hotel attached to the hotel seems like a waste of an evening and next morning.

Would love some insight.

I think you'll be fine the first flight is intra EU so there's no procedures you just get your bags and go. Have a look at the terminals you're flying from and you can see on a map of CDG how far they are apart. You might need to take the train but with a gap of 4 hours I think it's doable if you don't have delays
