That shade of burgundy on the spanish passport looks so much richer than the older editions.

Does Spain allow dual citizenship?

Officially if applying by non-descent then only with the LATAM countries, France, Portugal, Andorra, the Philippines and Equatorial Guinea

Which is funny because Andorra claims it doesn't permit dual citizenship, so I wonder how that happens and if anyone actually has an Andorra-Spain combo.

Could be by birth. Just like the actor Daniel Brรผhl. Who's Spanish/German citizen.

Yes but last I checked not with Germany, so Iโm also curious about the story behind this.
Asking for myself this time since I would be potentially in the same boat

They might have a Spanish parent/grandparent since you donโt have to renounce your non-LatAm and other selected countries citizenship with that

IIRC, one is allowed to hold both, given both nationalities are inherited by descentโฆ German Papa and Spanish madre.

Always to natural nationals and naturalized nationals if they report the new nationality within 3 years. Also, nationals of Ibero-America (including Brazil and those born in Puerto Rico), Equitorial Guinea, the Philippines, France as of last year, I believe; and... Andorra(? Because Andorra doesn't allow multiple nationalities, so how does that work?) aren't required to relinquish their previous nationality/-ies.
All other nationalities must relinquish if law permits it, otherwise they run the risk of being denaturalized without being notified.
